They must be incredibly interested in this case because they do it free of charge. Their hinky meter must be going off. I haven't heard of them being involved in any other case around the ASU area in the last year, and there's been several students that disappeared. Most were last seen in bars, intoxicated, whatever, and eventually were found in the town lake, no foul play, just recklessness.

No, but this case has been deemed a kidnapping if I recall correctly.
I think it's still missing, met with foul play, endangered?

They did issue a description of the vehicle. Dark four door. That may be all they could decipher from grainy video. Perhaps they are currently utilizing enhancement software to see if they can make out better details. That could take awhile. Or, they already know who it was but can't connect him enough for an arrest at this time.
That's pretty sketchy though, even for a semi dark grainy video. Was it a compact, mid, or full size vehicle? Did it have undersized, oversized or regular tires? Any spoilers or modifications to the vehicle body? What approximate year range? (This can be determined by body profile, head and tail light shape, door handles, windows)

I get the feeling that some folks aren't very cooperative and haven't been from the beginning. Despite their public appeals to the contrary.
DITTO!

Can anyone explain how if AS left with bf at the time stated and went to his house, the argument continued... he walked outside for a few min came back and AS was gone. So he went looking for her found her she bolted from vehicle he found her and gave her the phone then was able to call her roommate to go look for her.

Based on our timeline he'd need a helicopter wouldn't he?
2:30am -3:22am...

10 miles one way to get to his place on Indian School and 83rd Street. I make that a 20 minute drive one way.
2:30: they leave
2:50/55: arrive at BF's
Now they argue, he goes outside for "some fresh air" (sounds like to smoke) come inside, AS is gone, he jumps in her vehicle, finds her walking on her way to Indian School RD (Presumably on 83rd St.) convinces her back into the car, argue, she bails at the light on 5th ST ( ? ), he notices her phone is in the vehicle (I thought he called the roomate to retrieve it? Or did he go after AS again and give it to her?) Calls roomate to tell her to look for AS
3:00 at the latest: BF jumps in vehicle to search for AS
3:22: AS shows back up at APT (Presumably)
That's pushing the clock WAY too hard.

That's like a totally ridiculous waste of time! Even if they had left at 2:00. How much time was BF outside getting "fresh air"? How long did it take for him to locate her? I could swear he handed AS's cell to the roomate when she road her bike out.

That is what I have thought too. She didn't even find her yet she was there when she got back...
OK...
Then she left
Had a wreck
came back
Then left again
Got abducted

Mmm hmm

Her BF said she gave Adrienne her phone when she got out of the car-he got out and handed it to her. I provided a link to this some days ago.

It could be likely that since it was so late and not much traffic he was able to drive back and forth a lot quicker, and the argument had been going on the entire time since the party I thought?

  • #868
I got the feeling she didn't want to leave in the first place - why the 180?

Well the boyfriend said the argument was over attention he was giving others - I would assume that she didn't want to be around whomever it was at the party that her boyfriend was giving that attention to?

  • #869
I believe she wanted to be with the Bf but she wanted to be alone with him, as she was feeling jealous or slighted. But the argument did not end when they left the apartment.

I also tend to think that the BF turned his car around and headed home as soon as he called the roommate to tell her to meet Adrienne, as I think he was probably only too glad to be done for the night.

I get the feeling that she really didn't want to be around bf and yet she didn't want to be around her friends at the apartment either.

Why?

Where's her confidante?

Maybe on 5th Street... :scared:

It is wise IMO to call police even if it isn't the full 48 hours required before you can file a missing persons report

SBM - that's just tv stuff. You don't have to wait any amount of time before reporting someone missing. Not one day, one hour, nor one minute. If you wait 48 hours you're signing a missing person's death certificate practically.

I called the police a couple of hours into trying to find my teenage son years ago and said that I was sorry I hadn't waited the 48 hours they say you have to wait on tv and they interrupted me right then to say that is NOT TRUE, that's just TV, if someone is missing you have to call LE right away!

anyway, just catching up and couldn't let that go un-commented on.

ETA - I see neither could anyone else, therefore it's been thoroughly iterated and re-iterated. okay then, sorry.

that'd be convenient for LE, there's a cellphone tower on 5th that I believe to be the nearest to her apartment, which is where Pooley said it had been pinging right up to the time her phone shut off.

upon summarizing the case I received the following commentary in return:

"so, she kicked her boyfriend out of her apartment and told him to leave at 2am? and then she somehow ended up in his car being taken to his house? And as soon as he went outside for a second she tried to get away and get back home, but when he realized she was gone he somehow got her back into his vehicle again? And when he was stopped at a red light she got out of his car and AGAIN tried to get away from him and walk home?

And now she's missing and people are wondering what happened? Seriously?"

Of course I then noted that the boyfriend was cleared and was told "yeah, okay" and got an eyeroll.

Just thought I'd share a completely unbiased opinion.

I don't think so. Those particular streets are main arteries, Rio Salado, Rural/Scottsdale Road, Indian School, McKellips, Hayden. Once you get over the bridges from Tempe Town Lake, you'll be hitting a light at every intersection or just about. If he got on Loop 202 East, he could go faster on that particular stretch, but he'd be slowed considerably getting to and from 202.
I spent 28 years down there, born and raised. During the summer weekends, there's always the chance of DUI checkpoints at either end of the bridges over the Salt River/Tempe Town Lake in the summer time. It's really easy to nail drivers because they have no cross streets to get off on directly after the bridges.
I could see him doing maybe 30 mph with all the lights, hard turns, etc. JMO

That's exactly what a few WSr's are getting when they run the facts by non WSr's. Exactly what my BF said and he's far from the sleuther mentality.

I am pretty sure LE knows she went with the BF, I think their phone pings checked out, etc. and have heard he passed a LD test not to mention LE said he has been CLEARED.

O/T. Have missed you GGE!:seeya:

Yes but according to LE the bf was cleared. I am sure they have gotten is cell phone records and know where his phone pinged. But regardless. He's been cleared as has the cab driver which people were sleuthing previously.
IMO this is an abduction possibly a stranger, maybe an acquaitance. But abduction by some unknown person is the only thing that makes sense at this point.

Where is this coming from that the cab driver has been cleared? I've seen one article that directly alludes to that, and a couple more that reference that particular article, but no direct quotes from LE in this regard. If I recall correctly, Pooley has stated directly that the boyfriend has been 'ruled out at this time', but I've seen no such mention of the cab driver. In fact, the evening before this article came out, Pooley stated on national television that no one has been ruled out.

There are so many articles with so many discrepancies, misreports, or outright falsehoods that frankly if I don't hear it from LE directly I'm not going to give it much weight.

LE needs to give a press conference. Period.
