Ginger and Bernina owe me a new keyboard!!! :floorlaugh:

I know blunts... fwiw.
Molly.
Bet ya don't know about
Phenazepam. It's BAD stuff and teens are using it bigtime on the East coast.
It isn't even tested for in any drug screen.
Google it...
Meth is also really bad here but I don't see any indication that this crowd was into that.

Arizona is chock full of meth, it's epidemic. People can say what they want about the Mexican Cartels, but they DO have the meth market and Arizona is the main gateway. They are using the same routes used back in the 50's and later in the 70's (Cocaine Alley). Heroin is dirt cheap, $35-45 will keep a junkie happy and it's upwards of 90% pure. There was a run on Bath Salts until it was recently made illegal. I don't have a clue about marijuana, since it was given MD use, you only hear about border busts, but those are pretty big.
One of the big problems is prescription drugs.
Phenazepam: Looks like a benzo by the "pam".

Phenazepam, 10 times the equivalent of a dose of Diazepam....that's scary! Googled it, geesh, not scheduled yet, they're selling it over the internet.
I take Alprazolam (Xanax) .5 mg/4 times a day for panic disorder and you wouldn't know it, but I've been on it for 22 years. It and anti depressants make my life "normal". Unfortunately, with all the illegal use of benzos, Dr.'s are reducing their scripts to patients and reducing dosage amounts. Which frustrates me because I've been on other anti anxiouty meds and they have really bad side effects for me, like hallucinations, speediness, etc., etc.
Grrrrrr.....

Me too. Where I live a mobile home explodes about once a month!

Lol "pam" Pamela...now ya know why I go by gngrsnap!

Yes... but it's like diazepam (Valium) x 1000. My son's best friend OD'd and died on it.
He bought it off the internet.
LE here had never even heard of it.

Kids around here are using heroin again... I think they got hooked on oxycontin and then couldn't afford it so they went back to heroin.
It's so sad. They are dropping like flies. Suicide is rampant here.

We lose one or two every few weeks.
It's bad when I find myself wishing Adrienne was abducted by a stranger and not another victim of a substance that overcame her.

Ha! I said 1000. 10x is probably correct. I used to take Valium for anxiety. No Dr will prescribe it now.
Then I took serax. That worked well.

They put me on Xanax but even 1/2 tab gorks me out for over 24hours.

Now I just deal with the anxiety and the menopausal symptoms don't help! There are times I don't sleep for 2- 2 1/2 days!!

I liked my Valium. I didn't abuse it.
But since others did it's no longer an option.
Is it fair? No. But if it saves one teens life ... I can live with it.

I have wondered if. AS was on any meds that someone would be willing to kill her to get them.
We know she was very ill.
I worry about that.
A lot...

:( Adrienne what happened to you?

As a young woman who was not that good of a girl before mommyhood.... You can look at what's big right now and what's going around. Really if it's that type of a group of friends (which I'm not sure. No one would of thought my group was from the outside looking in) it's going to be whatever someone is handing you that second. Especially as a young attractive woman like her there's always someone there to 'help' you out.

I've spent a lot of time going over this time line and the events before she vanished. It's not the thought process you would expect from a girl like she seems to be. Even with alcohol it just seems too out there. Granted my best friend was once drunk and missing for 14 hours because she hid in a closet crying after her boyfriend said her chest was like two bbs on an ironing board. So that shows the power of a normally logical woman with hurt feelings while drunk.

What I keep coming back to is that maybe if we can find that one missing piece of the puzzle it will all make sense... but what if she just wasnt in the right mind to make sense.

Thanks for sharing. I have NO idea what most of the convo was about other than it had to do with drugs. That's what I get for being a good girl in the 60's instead of throwing on my peasant dress, my love beads and moving to Haight-Ashbury like my friends did. I missed out on a lot.

The old saying "if you remember the 60's, you weren't there." I guess I wasn't there because I certainly remember them. Now who's old??? Talk about farting dust. Dang. I'll just go hang out with the other fossils in the La Brea Tarpits.

I'll join you Seajay :) except I was in the 80's...I better google myself out from under a rock out in the woods

Lol. Thank you all for the laughs..

I don't know first hand about the harsher drugs but I do know being young and in my early years, if I wanted pills or acid I'd know who to ask. Only like two people that I know of but not necessarily friends. Although most people that smoke marijuana don't mess with other drugs, there are those that have and you know it.

We're not bad kids per se, just like marijuana. Don't see myself doing it once I get a "grown up" job. But if I wanted adderall, Molly, shrooms, pills, acid, even cocaine (which shocked me) I'd know who to go to.

I attended this get together, above middle class friend through a friend of mine. Some guy there was like I have bath salt oil and he smoked weed thru a water bomb type thing. First, why he was driving around with it in a backpack.. Idk. But I didn't want any parts in that! The more money you have it seems the more your exposed and accepting of those things.

LOL @ google yourself out from under a rock!

I'm the mom of tweens/teens and based on my own childhood, what I don't know could end up biting me in the rear.

We talk very openly about illicit drugs in this household and "faces of meth" is my favorite slide show to break out when there is even the slightest insinuation that drugs are cool or okay.

It is my mission to know more about them than the kids around me. Being told " drugs are bad" didn't keep me from doing them. Had my folks appealed to my vanity, I'd have probably stayed clean as a whistle. ;)

Another day came and went, no updates on AS missing page on FB, and nothing in the local MSM.
I hope today there are more leads or LE finds something promising.
Just a side note here: Polygraphs will not be given if the individual is known to be using benzodiazepines.
I also noticed while searching around the area on Google maps that there is Section 8 Housing just west of Hardy nearby. Unfortunately, while Section 8 can be a godsend to people struggling, it doesn't distinguish between those, and others who are involved in criminal activity.

Hey, all.
If anyone wants to know about the area. Or about the ASU lifestyle. I went to ASU and recently graduated, and had an ex who lived a block away from that AMPM.

Parties are not just a common occurance but almost a lifestyle for most Sun Devils, and the cops go hand in hand. I can't count on fingers and toes, how many times cops show up to those parties.
And before I was allowed to drink legally, I had two minor in consumption tickets. Tempe cops are no joke when it comes to parties.
And about the AMPM, they really don't follow their dress code there or at least they didn't a year ago...
Also, I don't know if it was mentioned but they do have a good amount of transient population that hangs out over there, since it is in such close proximity to Mill Ave. (A large bar area).
Just a heads up, have a fantabulous day.

Hey, PhiercePhi, is there still the transient/nefarious/druggie groups there at Jaycee Park? I lived off Hardy and University back in '77-78. The AMPM, O'Reilly's, and Starbucks weren't there, just the Circle K on the SW corner. After 10:00 pm, it was like an illicit flea market out in front.

If the Tempe cops are all over the partiers, drinking etc. even more reason why she would try to disassociate herself from the car crash as quickly as possible, IMO, and deal with it the next day. Even if she was not "drunk" I imagine a drink or two would meet the legal limit. JMO

Hey Bernina,
Yes actually. The last time, I was in that area with someone we picked a person off of mill and drove past it. Still full of transients. I do remember when I did drink, walking back to that ex boyfriends house from Mill it was a dangerous place. I can remember people coming up to you asking for money drugs, trying to touch you. It's all kinds of creepy. Especially if your dressed up to party (which isn't out of the ordinary).
I was around there a few weeks ago, and the only people that really go around there are either doing a drug deal or finding shelter... luckily there is a task force now that offers shelter space if its open (but there is still a bunch).

Cluc, it does make you think.
The only other thing that comes to mind is that she may of been on pills from her surgery, and some of those pills probably don't mix well with alcohol so disassociation could of occurred. But we don't know everything , and that is just a theory.
It might be why she was acting out of the ordinary, and also a reason why her boyfriend could of been mad, because he knew she shouldn't of been mixing.
JMO.

Yep, may be. On the LE report with the father, the first 3 lines of a particular paragraph were blacked out, the next sentences was along the lines of "There are no other medical issues..."
So she may have been on anti-fungals, maybe antibiotics, possibly pain killers for the previous surgery.......and just maybe anti-depressants because of the month long hospital stay and bringing her health up to speed.
What many of these teenagers don't realize is that it's a missing persons/abduction case, not a narcotics or underage drinking sweep. Anything they know about her in regards to those "habits" can direct the LE in a more specific area, unless they fear they themselves may have given her something that caused the disappearance.

thread six and almost time to start a new thread for our darling Adrienne. Where are you? We are not giving up and we keep thinking...

  • #960
I think it would be next to impossible to link any particular pill someone may have given her, to her disappearance two months later...so if anyone knows anything, they just need to speak up.

I still wonder if maybe Lauren S. was drugged and her "disappearance" was staged...much more so than I do Adrienne's. Much too much unnecessary detail in A's case, IMO, to be an alibi, way too complicated. I just can't see a bunch of partiers coming up with all of it, when it would have been so simple to say she left in her cR and never came back. JMO
