Adrienne was who she was, the good and the not so picture perfect. It doesn't make her any less valuable or worthy of having whoever did this to her brought to justice. It doesn't diminish her importance in any way.

I want the perp in this brought to justice for killing a beautiful young girl who had her whole life ahead of her. Who knows what great things she could have accomplished for us.

All our victims deserve nothing less. Regardless of whether they smoke or not, drink or not, whatever. JMO.

I never want it to happen to another person again, yet it does every day.

It has to stop.

I love what you wrote :)

As long as Evil exists in this world, it will never stop.

Where does the BF live?

His apartments exact location was never specified to me unless it is in the police report somewhere?

He lives up in scottsdale. I'll ping a general idea of the location of Scottsdale in relation to Adrienne's place:

Margarita25: Now I did a search and think I found his address, which is right on the line of Scottsdale and Phoenix area: E McDowell

And fwiw I think a perp would leave their victim nowhere near their own home/residence. They would probably try to leave the victim on the complete opposite side of town. So if they live north west, they'll probably leave the victim south east. Etc. IMO.

I wanted to thank 2Hip for the awesome maps. What a talent, one I don't possess. I don't know what we'd do without your great mapmaking skills 2Hip.

The wheels of justice turn slowly.
Though I wouldn't hold my breath for the COD, even if they can determine it. I saw it withheld in other cases where LE had problems pinning the crime on someone, and it was used as additional evidence once the suspect made comments to others about the way the victim was killed ("As if I could stab that girl!"). When they have little to go, they might keep it a secret for now.

the thing that keeps sticking out to me is phones & pings.

personally, i feel like the perp had assistance after adrienne passed on (this is all IMO). so i wonder, what was the cell phone activity of these possible other individuals that night (and saturday night)? i just wonder.. if this was an unexpected event -- taking her life, maybe the panic could have left the perp(s) wondering if they disposed of her well enough and maybe went back to make sure? of course, that would be a very risky thing to do since someone might spot you in the area.

a question i have. is the location she was found off of the main road going through that area? or would there be a good possibility that someone else could drive through? just thinking that being in the middle of summer, there may be many campers in the area.. just wondering if there would have been the threat of witnesses on the road right where she was found?

also - AS's roommates apparently had another party saturday night. what was the turnout like? was it all of the same party-goers from friday night? who was missing that time, besides adrienne? would any of the visitors have had access to adrienne's room THAT night?

Good Afternoon!

This is my first post, ever. I have contemplated joining Websleuths many an occasion prior to this - but this is the first time I have had a case hit so close to where I live (I have a family member who lives in between Hardy & University and Hardy & 5th).

I have so many thoughts surrounding/regarding this case, all speculation - of course; all my own opinion. I'm not sure how best to express them, seeing as how I don't want to stir the pot any on my first appearance - so, please bear with me.

Do we know if the local local sex offenders been checked out? I ask this because while I was at the family member's house on Sunday (who lives along the street that Adrianne, more than likely, would have taken that night to reach the AM PM) I noticed that she had two notices, taped up to her refrigerator, of sex offenders who had recently moved in (I am also unsure if the disappearance prompted the notices, or if they were sent routinely).

Do we know, for sure, if Adrianne stopped back by the party at her apartment to change - prior to meeting the cab at AM PM? A part of me has wondered if, one of the last remaining party-goers, was compelled to follow her/apprehend her.. They would have access to a vehicle (which we now know that the perpetrator must have had) & would have been well-aware of Adrianne's presence/direction.

Any contributing information, if possible, would be helpful. Thank you & hello!

I know that most crimes occur close to where the perp lives. Don't know the stats on proximity of where bodies are left in relation to where people live, but I imagine it is still somewhat close to where they live?
I wish we knew when she passed away, it would have a huge impact on our theories. Still wonder if she was kept around for a while. I have heard of gang members and other predators kidnapping and using girls/ women for an extended period of time until it becomes inconvenient or the "honeymoon" wears off (as I'm sure you guys know too.) I hope not, but...
Any ideas/ research about the RSOs around Apache Junction? There are a LOT of level 3 offenders around there, which is the highest risk rating in AZ as far as I can tell.
Local friends, does the circle map so beautiful constructed have a single zip code? If so and you know it I can try to pull that map of RSOs up too.
BTW I hope Adrienne sees that, even though some of her "friends" are not seeming to do a lot to help, there are plenty of people who are!!! I have a feeling you will get justice, beautiful girl!!!

Adrianne's apartment, car-drop-site & AM PM Gas station are all located within the zip code 85281.

WELCOME!!!!!
I was typing about sex offenders at the same time you were typing your post lol! If I remember correctly, she was seen before taking the car and wrecking, and I have seen no evidence that she was seen at the apartment after the wreck. Not sure if there is anything to base this off other than maybe roommates saying she seemed to have come back and changed/ left her keys? But sleuthers help me out and correct me if I am wrong :blushing:

Have you met any of the players, if you don't mind me asking? Have you seen any activity since she went missing such as people passing out flyers or fund raising? Just wondering if my perception of how much her friends had done to find her is wrong...
Also, does your relative, or do you, see much gang activity in that area? Can't shake that angle, either.
And thank you and welcome again! I am still pretty new, too... so you aren't alone :seeya:

Thank you!

I haven't met any of her friends and/or family personally, no. I have seen one car wash, before (they were distributing flyers during the car wash). It was the weekend or so after the story broke - and I haven't seen any activity since, despite the fact that I live right in the midst of it.

I had a (very, very) minor connection with a Tempe Police Officer, who informed me, very early on (beginning of July, actually) that he confidently felt that the department was no longer searching for her, but her body.

My family member (I'd like not disclose her exact location, I hope that is okay?) hasn't followed the case much & didn't seem all too shocked when I told her that, based off of everything I can tell, Adrianne disappeared right outside of/pretty darn close to her home. She stated that the RSOs she had received notices for live right at 5th & Hardy. She didn't specifically mention any "gang" activity - but said that, in her own words, she believes certain areas of her neighborhood to be "sketchier" than others.

Since Adrianne's roommates (from all the information I have seen) have stated that she must've changed clothes prior to leaving before meeting the cab, I am assuming she returned home after ditching her vehicle.

https://az.gov/app/sows/Zipcode.xhtml?zipcodeId=85281&orderUM=lastName+asc&orderIn=lastName+asc&orderUV=lastName+asc&orderOut=lastName+asc&cid=190615

RSOs based on the zip code our new friend shared- thanks again! It should, hopefully, be updated with those you mentioned seeing flyers about.

I personally think it is a good idea to NOT say on the internet where your relative lives... no telling who reads these.

Also, wanted to comment on an earlier post (sorry not doing a good job of adding the quote) about perps not going back to where they leave their victims. That may be true often (don't know any stats) but the case of Skylar immediately popped into my mind again. I read (again, IIRC and don't have the link so sorry) that one of or both of the killers went back to check on the disposal site later on. And she was left on land that belonged to one of the accused, so smart thinking and criminal activity don't always coincide. It seems there may have been revisits in the case of Dylan R. as well...

I wonder if the map making guru can take this link/ map of RSOs and combine it with the awesome locations map above? And the trip from her apt to the final resting spot- I could see it maybe be someone around that route- maybe drive a little further then come back home?
ALL my own opinion~

EDIT I meant Skylar was, IIRC, on the land of a family member of one of the accused.

I think whether or not perps return to where they left victims partly depends on type of perp, i.e serial offenders may do so more than others, for example. Dylan's case seems most unusual to me, if his father is in fact the killer, as he is behaving quite oddly (even if he is not the perp, his behavior has been very odd all along, IMO, and continues to be odd.)

I am really feeling more of a similarity to a Mickey Shunick-type abduction/murder, more so than a group of "friends" or "mean girls" or crime of passion. I think sex was the motive and she ran into a predator, whether a repeat offender or one who had not yet acted on his "urges". I believe that she was vulnerable that night due to her state of mind, IMO, as being highly emotional and she may not have been as vigilant as she would have been otherwise. I do think she set out on foot again after wrecking her car and changing her clothes, which I think she did to avoid being linked to the crash.

If the cab driver can be cleared once again (and we don't know if he can be) then LE may have a tough time linking anyone to this crime. But I have to believe they are investigating known sex offenders.

I actually just sent a text-message my family member. Only one of the two individuals she had received notices for were included on the website you just linked us to. Odd.

She said that she received the notices in the mail "a couple of months or so" ago.
