The defendant Michael Turney has arrived in usual wheelchair; however, he moved himself from the wheelchair into a chair. moo and interesting factor that he is seated in a regular chair for the first time during trial, day 5.

On the stand: Det. William Anderson (States Witness) Phoenix Police Dept.

Det. Anderson is an informative witness. Good eye contact and doesn't appear as if he wants to be somewhere else. He comes across as a superb educator. moo

Are you asking about “My Statement about things in my life at Home " (page 6), and if so,

  1. "My Father, Mike Turney, has never physically or sexually abused me at any time."

Possibly the state may rest their case on Monday (as noted above). There is one more state witness to be called.
Defense will then be up next. Alissa's siblings are sitting together in the courtroom. Additionally, Alissa's bio-dad Stephen S. also in the courtroom. Courtroom is not crowded, a few reporters and there are a few interns.

Speculation

I think so. It seemed like there was more there. Yesterday the Defense and the Detective were going back and forth on the 13 bullet points but the defense refused to let him read bullet point 1 so I was trying to remember what was on it. I think Sarah had posted a lot of those docs on her website a while back but took them down after the arrest.

You're correct, there are 13 bullet points to the letter.

Sarah mentioned in her podcast (Remembering Alissa: 20 years Later) that she didn't want to jeopardize the case so that is why she may have removed bullet 1. That is only a guess by me.

In addition, the defense has done well keeping sa out of the equation. moo
