MissD, I wish I lived in Scottsdale. I would drive over to her house with you. LOL

I wish you did too Luvrosco! I would take you out for dinner somewhere cool in Old Town! Next time you're here you should let me know. Seriously!

:)

Oh thanks. I definitely will. I wish I could spend the winter there.

I will drive over there tonight to see how 'lit up' it is at night. Remember, there was a new moon that night, which means it was super dark. That's probably why the cam could pick up Alex on it in the daytime but could only get a basic shape of someone the night the perp left at 1:05 a.m.

Also, we have a dark sky ordinance here in AZ. I have mentioned it here before but with all the posts you may not have seen it. That means some neighborhoods are darker than others.

It's fairly dark where she lives. But I'll take some pics tonight and post them for you.

:)
Many thanks and much appreciated. :)

Many thanks and much appreciated. :)

You are very welcome! And, btw, it is going to be a New Moon tonight.

So the lighting will be very much the same as it was on the night Allison was murdered.

It's possible that the reason no one has been cleared is that the DNA found at the scene does not match that of anyone in their database, i.e., it does not match that of anyone who has given a sample of their DNA to LE as LE conducts its investigation into Allison's murder. But -- because the killer might have been a "hit man," LE can't "clear" anyone who might have paid for the hit. JMO

This is not my original thought; I think I read it here on WS.

Yes Pacific! That's true. But this is what I don't get. According to the official ScottsdaleAZ.gov website:

"Finally, investigators have physical evidence that will positively identify this person, but can also exclude anyone not involved."

Ohhhhhhhhh wait! Sorry, I missed what you meant! Yes! I agree and understand what you were saying. This is a definite possibility I suppose.

Bernina, I really do want to thank you for going into all that detail on your theory that it was a cat burglar who murdered Allison.

While I don't necessarily agree with you I do think you did a great job of outlining and presenting your theory and reasoning behind it.

Thanks for your post.

All theories are possibilities.

I do think SPD might have a subject in mind. At least I hope they do! And hopefully we will soon know.

PS: Have you ever considered becoming a mystery writer? You have awesome writing talents!

:)

Well, you can thank my 1st ex husband who was a multiple felon, burglary was his specialty, and his nefarious "friends" I had the "pleasure" to meet during our 6 year marriage. This is when I'd do a "shout out" to all my peeps in the SPD, Phoenix PD, Pinnacle Peak substation, and the old Tri-City Burglary Task Force but they've probably all gotten to their 25-30 year retirement.

Gah! We need more info!!!

If her place was ransacked, I'd say trying to cover a murder with a fake burglary.
If she was posed, serial killer.
If her body was totally covered, well known personal.
If just her head, and NOT wrapped, unknown personal, like stalker.

Too many variables because SPD has not given some solid info, just vague double talk.

Snipped...

BBM above.
It doesn't really sound like a cat burglar to me :moo: :cow:

Perception is always interesting tho.

BBM. LE was talking about a killer hitting every 3rd house, lol!

Gosh! Why would anyone pay a hit man to murder a beautiful and sweet girl like Allison?

What on earth possible motive could they have had, if this was the case?

:(

Yikes! He sounds like a real 'charmer'. Good you got away from him when you did or we might have been trying to solve your case. :scared: lol

I do find those to be interesting analogies, but there's only one place I really see a lot of red flags. And, speaking of red flags, you remember those county recordings on her properties you found, trustee's sale and deed of trust stuff? Well, she was very extremely close to a person with a long mortgage broker background.

Gah! We need more info!!!

You can say that again! LOL!

:gaah:

I know this sounds way out there, but I wondered if it could have been someone that wanted to get back at her BF. Destroy his life by killing his future fiancé. I discount a hit, though. I think if it was they would kill the person and get out quickly. They usually don't try to clean up, I think.

Maybe an old boyfriend or a new friend was coming over that night and that is why she told the boyfriend to go home and study. I'm not sure I really believe this to be the case but I'm throwing it out there.

Maybe SHE was the one who needed "a little quiet time". You know, kind of like when you break up with someone and you say "It's not YOU, it's ME!" (When you really do mean it's them!) So she said...."Go have some quiet time" when it was really what she wanted for herself.

That occurred to me...only there should be some communication on her phone.
But it is too weird that the night she sends him home...she is murdered. Jmo

I agree. I sure wish we knew what happened in between Valentine's Day when she posted that FB photo and the time she was found dead. Strange there is no trace of that anywhere online when normally she posted about nearly every little thing.

I don't think it sounds so far out. I actually thought that at one time myself. I can think of at least one person who would probably .......

Never mind.
