We know that Allison had been out of town on business and returned the Friday before Valentine's Day. I've had a sales job in the past where I had to travel a lot. Generally speaking when salesmen/woman have those kinds of jobs they normally have a little time off when they return home. She was preparing to go out of the country to the Bahamas for a Sales Convention the coming weekend.

My thoughts are she took Monday and Tuesday off to run personal errands, do some shopping (her parents mentioned a new dress) stuff around the house, things like that.

She has a cousin who lives her but I don't think she saw her that much. They got together but not that weekend or on Monday or Tuesday. The cousin was interviewed.

I somehow got the feeling that the BF was there over the weekend and she sent him home to study and have quiet time (it was reported by her sister). I assumed it was on Tuesday, but in retrospect it could have been sometime over the weekend, even Sunday night.

As for a clue as to what happened. Even if she confided in her cousin or best friend or parents about most everything it's possible something happened she didn't have time to tell them about. Maybe something that happened over the weekend. Maybe even something she didn't want them to know.

As much as we like to think our kids tell us everything. They don't.

So true about your kids not telling you everything. That's why I was thinking about her confiding her innermost thoughts would have been to a close friend.

She was in that condo for a long time, right? She never had any problems. I think she put herself into a dangerous situation by living in that home alone. :( JMO

Respectfully snipped:

We know so little about her lifestyle... Was she in the habit of going around her place with the blinds inadvertently not completely closed?

Well the back window with the bottles on it did not have curtains. The other thing is, peepers will look through little slits in mini blinds, vertical blinds or any little un-closed or shear part of a curtain.

That last photo pretty much shows everything in the back.

Nancy, I agree that the house has it's scary elements (the alleys) but to be really honest, I was over at the Condos where she used to live a few nights ago as well and it's spooky as all get out over there too.

Maybe it's just when we start thinking how vulnerable a single woman is living alone (anywhere) that we begin to think how scary it is. Because I didn't have those thought before this happened.

Now, where i live I'm scared of every little shadow. I'm so much more careful going out at night than I was before. I'm more careful about closing the blinds, the drapes.

Allison was 31 years old. Not a kid anymore.

I don't think it was her choice of where she lived that put her in danger as much as perhaps her choice of friends.

JMO

Agreed Luv, but she might not have had time to tell them if something really bizarre happened over the weekend.

When I was there with my fellow WS pal we spoke with some neighbors out walking their two dogs. A very nice couple. I mentioned them before. But I forgot to tell you that they said they had heard that SPD turned the evidence over to the Phoenix Crime Lab.

I thought that was a bit strange considering they say they have the DNA and all that.

I'm glad to hear it, howeverr. I wish they would call in the FBI, Homeland Security, the CIA, and anyone else they can get on this case.

I want it solved! I want to see the perp behind bars!

As soon as possible!

YES! The FBI. They should be called in. Would you ask LE if they are going to do this?

I've always wondered what are the circumstances when the FBI is called in.

Usually local LE requests help from the FBI if they need specialized help...wire info, search for a known suspect, etc...but lab work is lab work, as a rule. Not sure why they would farm out testing if they have their own lab...jmo

So where is the BF these days? Is he posting on social media at all? Still overseas? Considering he was going to be proposing to her soon, I'm just a little surprised that he's been so quiet. Perhaps he has info/suspicions but obviously can't divulge those due to the ongoing investigation.......

It was mentioned above that the killer spent a fair bit of time at her home after the murder (cleaning up? showering?)...and that he wouldn't have known that the BF wouldn't be returning..........but maybe he was fully aware what time BF left and that he'd left for the night?

I find it odd that it was reported some time ago that LE were keeping an eye on someone who she'd ?dated in the past. A weird thing for LE to release, which could then be a huge tip-off to the person they're watching, that they're being watched and need to really be sure to cover their tracks........
I guess no DNA results back yet? And even when results do come back, if LE really has idea who the killer is, and that killer has no criminal history, it's not like they can look for a DNA match in some kind of criminal database....as wouldn't be in such a database.

BBM:

LayzeeDayzee, I'm really glad you brought up these questions again because we all wonder the very same thing. So little has been reported in the news.

I was told by a reporter that the fear of god has been put into them by SPD after the local news sources leaked those court docs. You know those reporters got to see a lot of things they can't tell us now. They could be jailed for releasing information the cops told them not to say.

Consequently, they know more than they are telling us. The media, I'm referring to now. And this is probably another reason this hasn't garnered national coverage. I'm sure national media is very aware of it. But SPD isn't going to let anyone report these things they have discovered that LE doesn't want known.

So, they have something .... they have someone....

And yes, they do have DNA. They have recently (SPD) given us a public update that states they have the killer's DNA profile.

As for where the BF is these days? We haven't heard anything at all from him. He did tweet about not getting a refund from Travelocity on his missed flight to Shanghai when he attended her funeral in Minnesota. Her Dad wound up buying him another ticket.

I don't know why he has been so silent, except for that one twitter tweet. If LE hasn't cleared him then he might have a lawyer who has advised him not to say anything or even LE might have told him to stay quiet and keep off of social media.

We can't sleuth him and that's not what I'm doing here. I'm just answering your question as to why we haven't heard from him and don't know where he is.

Actually the entire family is now being very quiet.

I hope they know something we don't know.

LE has made it very clear they are not going to divulge anything that will jeopardize this investigation. They don't care how curious we are or how much the general public or media wants to know. They aren't talking.

Bottom!

But if you have seen a Tiffany bracelet or if someone gave you one or some guy you know just happens to have shown up with one, they want to know that.

There's something about this bracelet that figures into this. Something important enough about it for them to release that info. Ask for public help.

Or is that just a red herring?

LOL Clu! What do you do? Read my mind? I was just wishing you were here to explain to us how the FBI works in these cases.

Thanks!

Sorry if this question has been answered, but do we know how Allison got the Tiffany bracelet? Did she buy it herself or was it a gift? You're right in that it seems important to LE.

That last photo pretty much shows everything in the back.

Photo taken through the holes at the top of allison's back wall.jpg

This one? Yes it does! And actually it shows up better than it does in this pic because the flash didn't have much of an effect.

She didn't have a lot of privacy back there, if anyone wanted to look.

ETA: Note that there are no lights on in her back yard patio area. Or pool. Any time there were lights on just think how much brighter and more visible everything and anyone would be back there. Even inside the home, with the lights on.

We know from Facebook photos that Allison had a Tiffany bracelet similar to the one LE has described. She was seen wearing it in at least one photo.

We assume it was that one and that she wasn't given another one for VDay.

I'm thinking that since the report about it came out March 22 (approx) when the family was here for the first time for her memorial, they were at the house and they might have been the ones who discovered that her bracelet and other jewelry was missing, since it hadn't been noted before.

And also, how would LE know if her bracelet was gone unless someone told them?

  • #657
Yes, I always wondered who told them her bracelet was gone. And why take just that? I'm sure she had other nice jewelry. JMO

MissD, was wondering if you have an approximate idea on what is the average size of the property in this neighborhood? The houses seem very close together. It doesn't appear the lots are even a 1/4 acre.

  • #659
They (LE) do speculate that other jewelry might have been taken. Allison was never seen wearing a lot of jewelry. She was somewhat conservative in the way she dressed and with the jewelry she wore. She normally wore just a silver watch. Nothing flashy at all.

Somehow I don't think she had a lot of jewelry. But then jmo.

I do actually, Luv. And I would think her house was on about 1/4 acre just because of the shape of the lot, which isn't very visible in the pics I've posted. But she lived on a curve and her house actually has a much larger backyard than it looks like as she has more property on the west side of her house due to the curve. Not necessarily pie shaped but close, just on that one side. In spite of the fact the house sits so close to the neighboring house, especially the one on the east side (surprisingly close actually) her lot wasn't that small.

Some of the homes in that area are on really big lots. There doesn't really seem to be an average size lot, when you look at an aerial view.

ETA: In retrospect, maybe not quite a quarter of an acre, but not nearly as small as it looks. ;)
