http://www.azcentral.com/news/articles/2010/12/14/20101214phoenix-boy-found-dead-abrk.html

Trash collectors found the body of the boy, who is between 6 and 8 years old, behind a house that is next to his home. The Phoenix Police Department is investigating the case.

Twice in this short article they reference by 'his home'. At least, they know his identity, so far.

Thanks for the update...when I first read of this little boy, there was nothing else released...and looks like they've changed the article since you saw it -- the 'next to his home' is gone now....wonder what's up with that?

bless his heart - left all alone in a cold, cold alley by a dumpster. :(

Thank TM, they sure have updated the article and didn't put an update time, either.

Now,

"obvious signs of trauma," leading detectives to say it clearly is a homicide.

"believe the child is the target of this homicide; it is not a random act.''

Priscilla Palma lives near where the boy was found. She said her dogs were growling about 4:30 a.m. and she heard voices in the alley, but she didn't think much of it.

These comments make for conclusions that are horrible, jmo

yeah - they added a bunch to that article - it was really short when I saw they'd taken out some of what you'd seen.

I found something in the comments to another article on this little boy...of course it's rumor but might explain LE's "targeted" as choice of words...check out the post at 1:46PM, Dec 14, 2010...it's on page 4 ATM.

omg, what Kimberly posted was exactly my reaction, too. But, a chld!!!, not kidnapped but murdered.

Thanks TM for the heads up on comments.

There are NO boundaries anymore...children used, abused & murdered by sooo
many. IDK what to say or do anymore, there seems to be a whole generation that is lacking compassion/respect for anyone.

This is horrible. I hope LE catches those responsible asap.

Phoenix police on Wednesday announced a startling development in the case of 6-year-old Xavier Daniel Jaquez, the youngster found shot to death in a west Phoenix alley Tuesday: The boy's father, Angel Jaquez, 27, had been found shot to death Monday night in a house on east Broadway Road.
