Found Deceased AZ - Arthur Gustafson, 34, Phoenix, 27 July 2018

MISSING PERSON:

Arthur Thomas Gustafson, 34 years old, 6’ 05” tall, weighing 310 lbs, bald with blue eyes.

VEHICLE:

Gold 2007 Dodge Durango with Arizona licence plate BRN0543. The picture above is not of the actual vehicle.

DATE MISSING:

7/27/18.

NARRATIVE:

On 7/27/18 Arthur Gustafson was last seen in the area of North 3rd Street, and East Thomas Road in Phoenix, Arizona. His family is concerned for his welfare.

Additional Details:

Phoenix PD says his phone was disconnected or lost battery power on interstate 93 outside of Kingman, which is a common route from Phoenix to Las Vegas. His recent ex says that his phone payment did come out of their shared bank account after he went missing though so it likely just lost power and doesn’t seem to have been turned back on, or he turned it off himself.

He is very active in the Phoenix comedy community but has not been heard from or seen since 7/27. Everyone says he is a really nice guy and it’s not like him to not show up for shows and everything. His family is concerned for his welfare and it is out of character for him to be gone this long without speaking to someone. He isn’t responding to texts and he is not picking up calls. He has not been at work since then either, and Phoenix PD and his landlord did a walkthrough of his home and could not find anything helpful.

His vehicle is the same make, model, and color as the one pictured in the original post. It has a pink AutoNation “drive pink” plate frame, AZ license plate #BRN0543. The rear bumper on the drivers side has a dent in it.

That’s all then information I have for now. He may still be in AZ or he could have gotten to Vegas or beyond. Hard to say with no cell phone pings or communication from him.

I haven’t found any media yet either, mr6. Maybe his family or friends could contact newspapers and/or local TV stations in the Phoenix and/or Las Vegas areas to get the word out.

I will be keeping my eyes open. The last place he was seen is near my home. Those pink plate holders really do stand out if you look at plates a lot (habit I can't seem to get rid of). He looks familiar. Wonder where he works? The only new media outlet that I have seen here that does deal with missing persons is KTAR. They do have cases on their website often, when the others completely ignore them.

I submitted this case to approx 4 of the local msm's in PHX. Hopefully, that will get someone helping/looking into this. I do not understand how they just go overlooking missing people? Horrible!

I am not sure. His ex is hoping that he left to check himself in somewhere to work on his mental health. I know they were both really upset about the breakup but it was mutual as far as I know. They broke up a few months ago so it isn’t super new but it happened this year so it’s absolutely a possibility that he hasn’t moved on and that motivated him. No one knew he was going anywhere so it could have been premeditated or it could have been a spur of the moment thing. I feel like if he intended to be gone and has succeeded it would be premeditated but things happen all the time that seem abnormal. And then of course there is the chance that he didn’t intend to be gone this long and something is wrong.

He really just left nothing to go on.

doodles, thank you for doing that! He’s been gone several weeks at this point with no trace of him, you would think the media would at least get his face on screens everywhere so people will at least notice him if they see him or his car.

There are a couple of men found dead that I am looking at who have yet to be identified. Anyone know how I can find out if Arthur has been ruled out?
