<<Marcus was last seen at a motel in the 3200 block of East Andy Devine Avenue, where he was visiting friends, Sgt. Rusty Cooper of the KPD said.

Detectives had followed up assorted leads on his disappearance for nearly a year before developing reliable information earlier this month that Marcus allegedly was murdered. Several suspects were identified around July 17.

On July 19, detectives arrested David Wayne Srout, 30, at his home in the 3500 block of Bonita Road in Golden Valley.>>

<<A search warrant was served the following day at a residence in the 3200 block of N. Jewel Street. The murder allegedly occurred there and blood evidence was found inside the residence, Cooper said.

Taken into custody during the serving of the warrant was Larry Gene Tate Jr., 41, of Kingman. He was questioned and then booked into jail on a felony charge of second-degree murder.
Detectives went to a residence in the 600 block of Glen Canyon Road in Golden Valley later that night and arrested Shannon Laranda Blair, 33, of Golden Valley. She also was booked into
jail on a charge of second-degree murder.

A fourth suspect in the case has been identified. He currently is serving time in Arizona State Prison on an unrelated conviction, Cooper said.

"The case goes to the Mohave County Grand Jury on Thursday," Cooper said. "If they indict the fourth suspect, his name will be released."

Theft appears to be the motive for the homicide. Detectives believe Marcus was lured to the residence on Jewel Street, where he allegedly was attacked and killed.

Marcus was carrying a "large sum" of money at the time, but Cooper declined to say how much.
The suspects also were believed to have been using drugs at the time of the crime, he said.
They reportedly led detectives to a remote area where Marcus was buried, but no body was found.>>
