Coconino County Superior Court Judge Dan Slayton reset the date Friday for July 10, postponing the retrial for a third time.

Defense attorneys are asking a judge to delay the retrial for a fourth time. Steven Jones is set to be retried on charges of first-degree murder and aggravated assault on July 10. A defense attorney filed a motion earlier this month, citing a potential conflict of interest with the defense counsel that has yet to be resolved.

The trial won't start in July. A judge granted a request from attorneys for Steven Jones to delay it but didn't immediately set a new date.

Two of Jones' attorneys wanted it pushed back because the State Bar of Arizona is reviewing a conflict of interest allegation against them.

The retrial for a man accused in a fatal shooting on the Northern Arizona University campus in 2015 has been rescheduled for March 5, 2019, court records show.

Coconino County Superior Court Judge Dan Slayton had recently approved a request from attorneys for Steven Jones to delay the trial for a fourth time.
