You are right. When put realistically. Perhaps they can have resources at hand to try and deal with a potential convert via counselling, guidance or other dome such services? However, if they become sure a radicalized member is about to run off to Syria to join ISIS, or same member is passing around terrorist propaganda, then I believe it is their duty as American citizens to have to report this. This is the new, unimproved, world that we live in. Only my opinion. Only an idea.Would you expect a priest, rabbi, or pastor to do the same? I think it's breaking a bond to report a congregant to the authorities.
