Would you expect a priest, rabbi, or pastor to do the same? I think it's breaking a bond to report a congregant to the authorities.
You are right. When put realistically. Perhaps they can have resources at hand to try and deal with a potential convert via counselling, guidance or other dome such services? However, if they become sure a radicalized member is about to run off to Syria to join ISIS, or same member is passing around terrorist propaganda, then I believe it is their duty as American citizens to have to report this. This is the new, unimproved, world that we live in. Only my opinion. Only an idea.

TSA is part of Home Security. The employees at issue were part of the TSA. DHS is the umbrella over a number of agencies.

Well lord knows TSA employees aren't exactly the sharpest knives in the drawer, it probably wouldn't be all that hard to recruit a few dozen.

I'll address the "beard" controversy. As an isolated thing, growing a beard is harmless. Many men grow beards in cold climates.

But THIS man had a number of other "red flags" in addition to his growing a beard. His neighbors and acquaintances noticed the alteration in his patterns of living and being-- BUT were stymied as to who and how to communicate those concerns. We are suffocated and crippled by political correctness, IMO. "See something, say something" is a nice platitude, but we haven't developed that "plan" enough to make it effective. All it should have taken is for local police to get a look inside that garage to set in motion a lot of other procedures to monitor this couple, and prevent this cell from action.

Now we have the benefit of hindsight and the 24 hour news media, who collect those red flags and put them together. But the red flags were there all along. IMO.

Totally agree there. We have been trapsing around this PC merry go round for far too long and for such stupid things imo.
We are never gonna agree to like things want things do things as everyone else. That's what makes us unique. So how is a quote 'PC' gonna stop us feeling hate. Feeling betrayal. Etc etc etc.
SEE SOMETHING SAY SOMETHING!!
PC IS ON THE BACK BURNER.

Former Congressman Unleashes on Attorney General in Rant Against Islam: ‘Go Ahead and Prosecute Me. I Dare You.’

I saw George Pataki did a Tweet along those same lines. "We must declare war on radical Islam. @LorettaLynch I'm not edging toward violent speech, I'm declaring we kill them. Go ahead, arrest me." I had forgotten he is running for President.

No, there have always been a multitude of problems since the TSA was created. Many people have argued that it would have been better to have not federalized airline security-to have made the airlines responsible or otherwise privatize it.

I heard Loretta Lynch say that yesterday too, really ticked me off. I haven't heard any anti-muslim or hate directed at all muslims, what I've been hearing most American's express is their fear of ISIS, which is extreme and radical Islam. It's just like the group Westboro Baptist Church, they call themselves Christian's, but in reality they are extreme and radical in their beliefs, most Christian's find their protests diplorable and speak out against them. We should all be able to speak out against radical and extreme groups! Loretta Lynch needs to keep her mouth shut in my opinion, unless of course that's her agenda, to stir up Americans.

Well if you take it that also a single missile dropped costs in excess of $1000s. Yup it's a money eating business.

I'll share a story. My sister is an attorney, and is as completely and totally liberal, as I am conservative. We couldn't be closer, and I love her kids as I do my own. Her home daycare provider is a muslim woman. I've known this woman and her family for years, and I consider them friends. The woman and her husband are of Pakistani origin (immigrants in their 20s), and have been in this country over 30 years. He's had the same modest job for 20 of those years. They've owned the same home for 20+ years. They've gone to the same mosque for probably 20 years. I know them very well, and their grown kids and grandkids. I've been in their home hundreds of times. They go back and forth to Pakistan about once every 2-3 years (it's very expensive for them). I'm not "afraid" of them at all.

I am also confident that if they, or any of their kids began a path toward islamic radicalization, it would be quite apparent to everyone who knows them. If suddenly dozens of middle eastern men were coming and going from the home, that would raise suspicion. If dozens of packages began arriving daily, and strange activity in the garage was going on, people would notice. If one of them became more devout, began wearing more conservative islamic dress, etc., it would be noticed.

In ANY profession, it is required to report intended homicide.

does anyone know exactly what part of the scenario the bright yellow car would have been played out ? A bright yellow car crusing around when there is blood , dead people, sprinlers , fire alarms , why would need a remote car ?

I believe that car was a toy remote car, which was capable of detonating a bomb that had been left inside of the building where the shootings occurred. They don't know why it didn't go off (it might have been intended to go off some time after they left while all of the first responders were there, but that's a guess, they don't know). Maybe they tried and it didn't work. Maybe they were too busy shooting at the police to detonate the bomb. Who knows!

The photograph, taken from around the time of Malik’s college days in Pakistan between 2007 and 2012, is the second that has become public. Friday evening ABC News published the first, and in both the young woman has her hair covered and looks unsmiling into the camera.

That link didn't work for me.
