Man accused in kidnapping attempt of Tolleson girl says he’s done it before

A man accused of trying to kidnap an 11-year-old girl in the West Valley last week told authorities that he was attracted to her and offered her money to gain her attention.

Last Monday, an 11-year-old girl was walking home from school in the area of 87th Avenue and Van Buren Street when Christopher Leon, 34, allegedly tried to kidnap her, according to Tolleson Police.

Leon admitted his involvement to Phoenix police and was booked into the Maricopa County Jail on attempted kidnapping and aggravated assault charges.

He is facing charges of attempted kidnapping and aggravated assault.

During an interview with Tolleson Police, Leon recalled seeing the girl walking home from school and that he thought she was “cute and beautiful,” according to court paperwork.

Leon allegedly admitted to grabbing the girl’s arm and trying to place $6 in her hand to make her more “attracted to him.” He told police that he had fantasies of the girl and would have tried to kiss her had she not run away, police said.

According to police, Leon admitted to previously doing the same thing to two other children in Tucson and another in Tolleson, because he is attracted to young girls. He also admitted to accidentally exposing himself to an adult woman on the bus while leaving Tolleson.

of course he has previously been convicted of a sexual offense. Never doubted it for a minute. sheesh. His bond is $750,000.00
