Police Rescue 4 Kids From Hot Car While Dad Was Intoxicated In Adult Store

I have no idea why they allowed him to plead guilty of lesser charges. The article I have linked above states his drivers license was restricted due to excessive DUIs and his vehicle was equipped with a breathalyzer meant to prevent him from being able to start the vehicle if he had consumed alcohol. And yet he had a strong odor of alcohol on and about him when police came to rescue the children from the scorching hot vehicle. MOO this man should not be in charge of children, not his, not anyone else's. He is a menace and it's only a matter of time before someone dies because of him.

What a miracle they were found in time. There has been a sudden surge of hot car deaths the past few weeks. It's heartbreaking and frustrating.

I really don't understand, he will probably get a pass, because there are not four dead children.

Sort of annoying, because if there had not been intervention, that is what would have been the outcome.

Friday, Nov. 7th:
*Sentencing Hearing (@ 8:30am ADT) - AZ - 4 children (2, 3, 4 & 7) left in hot car [temps outside 104F, inside car 125F when rescued] on July 24, 2025 in Phoenix. *Ascencio Largo (38) "father" arrested & charged (7/24/25) with 4 counts of child abuse intent. Plead GUILTY on 9/8/25 to a plea agreement. Maricopa County

9/10/25 Update: The abuse of child w/intent counts were dismissed due to a plea agreement reached or approved on 9/8/25 it would appear. He plead guilty to lesser charges. Sentencing hearing on 10/7/25 @ 8:30am.
10/7/25 Update: Sentencing hearing was rescheduled on 11/7/25 @ 8:30am. Plead guilty to 2 counts of child/physical abuse, plead to reduced charge & 2 counts of child abuse-intent were dismissed due to plea on other counts.

Probably has the kids blow into the breathalyzer. LOL.

I had one student, about 6, tell me about how when he goes on driving trips, he "starts" the car by blowing into a Straw.
