On another note, it just reaffirmed my abstinence of HLN. :scared: I miss the original Court Tv. No pundits, paid opinions, just the trial with a bit of background, anchors/hosts communicating without raising their voices, and they really didn't seem to care about ratings. It was just the facts, you could decide a verdict for yourself using the same evidence that the actual jurors were presented with. *sigh*

BTW: I think both CMMD and CMJA didn't help their cases with their self serving "pleas". Too little, too late. Both trials showed their propensity to lie and use their "acting" abilities to manipulate long before they committed their crimes, even when there was no reason to. I think a side by side comparison of their LE interrogations would be far more significant to show the true nature of these "beasts".

Now, I'm not buying this domestic abuse from her daughters OR the defendant. She borrowed $300k+ from Flores. If she hated her husband and her life that much, she could have packed up her kids and moved cross country, bought a new home, car, even some diamonds and rubies for that amount of money.

Watched the LE interrogation........again.
1. CMMD repeatedly hit her husband with a hammer 5 times
2. Dale only slept on CMMD's side of the bed when he had back problems, BUT he was on her side after he "assaulted" her
3. Dale's boxer had been removed


My point: I'd put money on it that Dale was having back problems, went to sleep on CMMD's side of the bed in his boxers. CMMD got on her knees next to the back side of Dale, pulled herself upright on her knees to create enough force with her downward blow to cause immobilizing damage. His boxer's were an afterthought, and may have been removed on the bed causing him to fall off, or pushed off in her struggle to remove them (he was reported to be on his side when she bludgeoned him).
When you hit a person in the head with a hammer, you have to use a tremendous amount of force and you definitely want to disable them so they can't fight back. The force of the 1st and 2nd, (maybe even the 3rd) would cause a "vacuum" in the skull when the hammer was being pulled upwards to deliver the next blow. This was just not a simple "one, two, three.....", get the job done in 10 seconds and walk away. The first blow had to be incapacitating, bone crushing, deliberate, and took several seconds to remove the head of the hammer from his head to deliver the next blow. Regardless if he was asleep or awake, that first blow was devastating (I don't recall any evidence of defense wounds on Dale, trying to stop the attack) and she was bound and determined to kill him. She wanted him dead.
Stan is probably the only reason Dale was still breathing when LE showed up.

I laughed more during JA's plea, so if we're basing the decision on comic relief. JA get's my vote.

I suppose it would depend on what kind of style you enjoy. If you enjoy Robot Talk, then JA's would be the best. The whole "Stephen never got that call...and it was because of me..beep..boop..beep" was just so believable, you know?

If you enjoy the incoherent, fake sob/wail, then MD would be the best. Her dramatic pause where she pointed for effect and then made the claw hands was a total high point for me.

But JA had that customized T-Shirt..hmm..:bateyes:
