How long will it take this jury to decide on a verdict? Or one of those no-verdict verdicts? We could be here all week! :scared:

And I'm not falling for the 'jury has a question except it's actually a verdict' ploy this time!

I thought the defense went first?

The defense did go first and will be up again after lunch. The usual prosecution, defense, prosecution must be reversed for the death penalty it seems.

I am TOTALLY out of the loop :scared:

Um............"surrebuttal" anyone?:floorlaugh:

I hope the jury won't take the rest of the week deciding but it won't be all that surprising, given past history with them.

I don't know about this jury. Two weeks after MD takes out a $500,000 life insurance policy on her husband she kills him and the jury did not feel she killed him for financial reasons. ?????

Perhaps her use of a hammer rather than gun has confused some of the jurors? They can only see the calculated rage but not the $$$ aspect.

Has there ever been one female murderer who has said "Yes I murdered him. No I was not abused or violated in any way. I'm very sorry for what I did. I deserve whatever punishment you give me' ? Must they always manipulate and play the victim? Drives me crazy!

Maybe they tossed a coin

Just keep reminding yourself: "This is not the same jury. This is not the same jury"

I'm good with LWOP. Anyone else?

No, because then she can have more regular contact with the world.
On DR, she would be much more restricted.

AZ DR-
"All male and female inmates on Death Row are classified as maximum custody. All inmates are single cells which are equipped with a toilet, sink, bed and mattress. Each Death Row inmate has no contact with any other inmate. Out-of-cell time is limited to outdoor exercise in a secured area, two hours a day, three times a week, and a shower, three times a week. All meals are delivered by correction officers at the cell front. Limited non-contact visitation is available. Death Row inmates may place two ten minute telephone calls per week. Personal property is limited to hygiene items, two appliances, two books and writing materials, which can be purchased from the inmate commissary. Health care is provided at the Health Unit; medication is passed out at the cell front. Clergy contacts are provided at the cell. "

On the other side of the coin, LWOP would put her in contact with other prisoners, which in her case would be a disaster, since she has very little control over her mouth (it seems).
So OK, maybe LWOP would work :thumb:

#MarissaDevault only picked up one check of Dale's from his employer. No evidence anyone spent Dales money but Dale

Allen Flores made more money than Dale and bought kids better presents. It made Dale upset and jealous #MarissaDevault

Let's not forget Dale would come home with lipstick on his collar and smelled of another woman's perfume. #MarissaDevault
