Just a reminder:
Next noteworthy trial coming up in Arizona, State v Bryan Hulsey, May 12th.
http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?t=229280

No word yet on if or who will be live streaming, but the minutes show media has requested in court cameras. Have 95 posts in the thread so far and quite a bit of sleuthing done by fellow WS's. It's going to be good.........court minutes read like CMJA, and our fav Prosecutor, Juan, will be Prosecuting. :blushing:

Now we return to our regularly scheduled "CMMD Snoozefest".........

:please:VERDICT TODAY!?!?!?!?!:tantrum:

I love, love love Juan Martinez (naturally!) but I do wonder whether this trial will be worth watching. It seems to be a slam dunk really? Nothing better than watching JM in action. :loveyou:

Looks like WAT will be live streaming Schenecker.
I guess they are streaming jury selections ?
Got to love FLA in that respect, they will stream a trial at the drop of a hat, from start to finish.

Hulsey seems to be arguing that the other cop shot Holly and not him (and is using thrown out bullet fragments as part of his defense), so it could get interesting. If you take a breeze through the minutes you'll notice that Hulsey throws monkey wrenches into everything, I doubt this trial will go smoothly but it ought to be intriguing to watch (if we're so lucky).

...and the ever swinging door of defense attorneys and self representation. Also 2 witnesses, who should have been charged as accessories, were incarcerated shortly after the murder but are now released. Wonder if there was a "deal"?

You guys are right. I better carve out some time for the trial then. And I have this idea that the weirdest, strangest things happen in Florida. The other trial from Florida still gives me nightmares. 12 whole people agreed to WHAT? *sighs*

Marissa DeVault penalty phase: Jury deliberations continue

Jurors in Maricopa County Superior Court will continue deliberating Monday on whether to sentence 36-year-old Marissa Devault (dehv-WAH') to life in prison or death.

The jury so far has spent a total of a day-and-a-half considering what penalty to impose since hearing closing arguments Tuesday.

Earlier this month, the same jury found the 36-year-old woman guilty of first-degree murder for killing Dale Harrell, 34, in January 2009. She claimed her husband had raped her and choked her, forcing her to act in self-defense.

Have they really gone? Maybe they're about to or have reached a verdict? I'm the eternal optimist!
