I have a question. The PD said it had rained several times between DR’s disappearance and the day they located his jeep. Did his clothes that were located outside of the jeep appear to have been rained on several times? His shirt would have dried stiff? Maybe I read there was rain in beside the jeep, I don’t remember.

Regarding rain:
Pg 30
VEHICLE OBSERVED AS RELATIVELY CLEAN ON THE OUTSIDE BUT THERE HAD BEEN 3 OR MORE BIG RAINS IN THIS AREA SINCE DANIEL WENT MISSING. THERE WAS EVIDENCE OF RAIN DAMAGE ON THE INSIDE OF THE JEEP AND A HARD HAT INSIDE FILLED WITH RAIN WATER.

As for his clothing, I have not seen anything mentioned regarding whether they appeared “rained on” or “stiff”. @JJ Ray may be of help!

I also really wish we knew if he was binge gaming the previous night. If he was then he could have been tired. I tried to go back and look at the times he was texting on the 22nd but couldn't see what went on after 7:30PM other than the Uber trip back home. Another thing is on the morning of the 23rd he was at the gas station for 3 minutes from 7:00AM to 7:03AM. That's pretty quick so he definately used his credit card. Otherwise it would take longer if he went inside to pay. The point is he was agile at that point. He wasn't slow moving. Coud it be that his body was agile but his mind wanted to rest? Thus the statement to Kenneth about resting?
Regarding previous night, it looks like the Suns beat Clippers 104-103 at home 6/22/21. Idk if Daniel watched the game which had a 6pm start. Most of Phx watched those games.

My timeline has him only staying about 15 minutes so there is ample free time. Others (on Twitter) think he didn't leave till almost 8. Here is my timeline an estimates of the missing time.

Driving Distances1
Thank you for sharing your document. With regard to the 11 miles after airbag deployment, wonder if tire erosion was evident. If the passenger tires spun for 11 miles it seems like it would leave evidence kind of like erosion. Depending on tire spin direction the ejected dirt should have created a pile. I can’t tell from pictures if the vehicle tires were touching the ground.

They were not. The wheels would have just spun and spun. the vehicle was on the passenger side.

Plus San Tan Accident Reconstructionist knew of fellow professionals that encountered flaws in Jeeps recordings between display and EDR in the Airbag control module. Mechanics have also noted discrepancies.

So he texted Kenneth at 8:35? Is that known for certain? Well if that's the case then Daniel may have been trying to force himself to stay awake. Its just my opinion but I wonder if he came so early to the area was because he felt if he stops being alert and agile then he may fall asleep?
No. He texted Kenneth at 8:10.
At 8:35 there is an odometer reading recorded by the infotainment system. Iver is the product name that can know be used to extract data not from engine control modules or EDRs but also data sent to the infotainment systems in cars. PI McGrath had this capability and provided that data to Buckeye PD and it is indicated in the heading on the timeline.

I am trying to find a way to word this post as sensitively as possible so as not to incur backlash @JJ Ray
The way in which the Bookeye PD report reads and from what I have picked up on from you and others observations on this thread- Daniel appeared to have some social relationship difficulties as evidenced by the scenario of being in love after his delivery at a residence and being invited into the residence by a group of girls who thought him to be cute and whom he fell in love with the homeowner of this residence which wasn’t reciprocated ( allegedly).

Now I am NOT personalising this to DR.
I am generalising as to behavioural traits that may or may not fall on the spectrum .

Has it been / or could it be alluded to at all about these types of social communication issues being related to ( just for example) Aspergers ? Or wether it could be described as being potentially on the spectrum?

I ask this because I was privy to an exchange whereby a Senior lead clinician in a Mental Health hospital was discussing a close relative of mine and their exhibited behaviour and stated that this relative was exhibiting classic behavioural traits of adult ( not previously disclosed) ADHD and being on the spectrum and amongst other descriptive details of what those behaviours entailed, specifically zoned in on the failure to wear shoes irrespective of the terrain . ( This sounds very basic the way in which I generalise but I cannot give a more detailed account because of confidentiality). The relative of course did wear shoes when it was mandated but the moment that they were not mandated to do so, would discard the shoes, even when walking through wooded or Sandy areas and paths that were littered with potentially dangerous obstacles for eg smashed glass etc
So I am asking a generalised question here and do not wish to discuss Daniels medical background AT ALL.
My post is to point out a behavioural trait that was pointed out to me about my relative and was about not wearing shoes unless absolutely necessary.
So my thinking is around the concern of DR potentially not wearing shoes when he walked away from the crash site - although I accept the potentially life threatening heat situation in that part of the world, it just may be that it was a behavioural trait that although wouldn’t be something a large number of us would feel comfortable with, maybe just maybe, he didn’t wear shoes when walking away .
So your question as BBM below asks :

Again, the main thing is did he have shoes he put on after the wreck that he thought more comfortable? or none at all. A rationale person that knows the desert would stay with the work boots to walk out of there

Could this theory appertain to your question and your rationale about a person who knows the desert would stay with work boots to walk out of there ?

It’s an interesting theory and certainly a different way to look at this situation.
By the way I’m not medical in profession so I’m sure that there are WS members who are much more knowledgeable about this and may question my knowledge- I only go by what I was told by the clinician who was in charge of this facility that I attended. Nothing more. All MOO/ JMOO
That is a distinct possibility and not one I believe has been discussed here that I can recall. I had never heard his co-workers in my interactions say he had previously hiked barefoot and they had been on at least 1-2 hikes as a group.
BTW, there are people out here in the Southwest who hike barefoot. Brian Laundrie supposedly hiked barefoot.

As @mlhenn replied...
Rain collected in his hardhat that was within the car. The pictures I provided of the clothing on post #174 seem to have been as would think after 3 weeks in the sub/wet/ and then dried.
In addition, a major storm hit the entire Hassayampa Watershed on July 25th, 6 days after the car was found. If Daniel was in the main wash, the body could have been moved. If a little upland the drainage might not have been forceful enough in the smaller feeder ravines.

His friend Luke DM'd him on IG at roughly this time in the evening of 6/22 and DR replied. They (while Luke was visiting the prior weekend) had previously on 6/20/21 posted on FB being at a bar watching the series.

Thanks for the clarification. In my mind its the same outcome even if the text was sent at 8:10 by Daniel as he arrived in the area very early. IIRC he didn't have any work to perform at the other jobsite. So it just makes me believe he didn't want to fall asleep as he was tired and eventually was asking about resting sadly.

Actually I had a similar question. But I want to know if the tires had dug into the ground. If they were spinning then IMO they should also have dug into the ground some. I'm not knowledgeble on cars in general but I would think that the way the Jeep was positioned in the ground may speak to how fast the vehicle was actually going. I understand the the EDR and other systems will give a reading, but is it accurate? So this way at least we may be able to judge the speed (not the miles per hour) rate.

Was the podcast he listened to the night he met KA ever revealed or identified?

It was on Eckhart Tolle's teachings. Essentially the enlightenment stuff Daniel was telling Roger at work about was what he talks about: losing the ego and your story.

So its certain that the vehicle accelerated before crashing. Was it at a high rate of speed? I know (I could be wrong) or think it was stated 30 miles an hour. If it was going that speed not that I'm disputing it, I just think there would be a lot more damage to the Jeep especially from where it went down to where it landed and rolled. I could be wrong though. So then originally maybe the speed was low and not fast?

Was Daniel interested in any of the mines in that area? The Golden Eagle nearby is active with gold, silver and copper. Paydirt Gold mine (Vulture mine) also lists lead and molybdenum. Manganese, vanadium and uranium are mined out there as well. IMO a candy land for a geologist.

Yes, however Since LE believes the podcast was influential enough to trigger something in Daniel, hopefully they were able to specifically locate and view the exact podcast that the theory is based upon. I would like to watch it for insight, persuasiveness, rhetoric, etc…Maybe LE is correct on this and maybe not.

@Eyerish Eyes
I don't recall seeing where LE said the podcast was influential enough to trigger something in Daniel. The podcast was named by his sister Davisha. I don't recall the title. Did you read Roger's interview in the police report? It's obvious the spiritual enlightenment teachings of Eckhart Tolle were on Daniel's mind that day. A quick Google search will give you a summary. I very much suspect he'd been struggling with something prior to the podcast.

It was just short of 30 mph according to the EDR. I followed the path of travel and it was very open and the Jeep could have attained that speed. Remember, the impact is a 45 degree sloped ravine. Most damage is to front passenger , then damage was due to a slow roll to the left on the upper windshield area (remember it's a V shaped ravine that widens to the west (left, in direction of travel) and the angles makes sense. See attached for some ideas.

Never identified by name. I never have seen or heard LE make any inference that the podcast was "triggering" any action by Daniel specifically. I like @TammyinVA feel it gave Daniel's recent questioning and possible depression an outlet or validation to make some hasty rash decisions in anger, frustration, etc. that day. IMO opinion any Tolle video or podcast will give you the broad brush strokes that Daniel was processing, a bit to literally in my opinion only.

Not that I have heard from co-workers. I got the impression he was more likely during a hike, see something interesting and pick it up. BTW, the only narrative I ever heard about a rock collection per se is from his father.
