David says that several additional human remains have been found during some of the searches of the desert. However, none of those remains belonged to Daniel.

SC father starts petition, hires private investigator to locate son reported missing in Arizona

From the article above:
•his father hired private investigator Jeff McGrath
•PI stated the Jeep was driven 11 miles after the initial crash, that there were multiple crashes, and that the vehicle was cranked 40 plus times by someone after the initial crash.
•the PI found a sock that belonged to Daniel near the worksite which was 3 miles from the crash site.

It almost looks like someone other than Daniel took the Jeep for a joyride, then staged his clothing. Why would his sock be near his worksite?

Was any searching done in and around his worksite?

Edited to add: This is why I was asking questions about foot prints and other vehicle tracks at the crash site.

Yes. The area around the worksite was searched. see my previous comment on footprints around the crash site.

@JJ Ray , yes I saw your comments, thank you for the clarifications. What I am wondering is if LE had the presence of mind to photograph any full or partial prints around the Jeep and clothing before one or more responding officers and detectives walked through them. Without prejudice towards LE, my experience over the years has been that most SAR teams have more knowledge regarding the critical nature of foot prints in an outdoor environment and how to preserve them than some responding LE officers do. LE training on this subject varies quite a bit. On some natural surfaces and materials, it takes a very trained eye to detect partial prints, scrapes and disturbances like "stone rolls". Each full or partial print can contain over 100 indicators that show speed, weight, mental state, carrying something, etc. Most folks "look" at tracks to determine shoe sole pattern and direction of travel. I "read" all the indicators present to determine who the individual was, what they were up to and where they were headed. Those indicators also appear in bare footprints, even the toe print depths provide information. I wonder if any photographs that may have been taken provide the clues to what happened?

Police told David that no foul play has been suspected in the case of his missing adult son.

David said this prompted him to created an online petition to encourage the police department to look more closely at the case. The petition already has more than 1,000 signatures. Sign the Petition

“The problem is they think he wrecked his Jeep, undressed at the crash site, joined a monastery to become a monk, and it’s the theory they stand on no matter what,” David said.

This is awful, I can't imagine being in David's shoes. I hope he is successful in getting the attention Daniel's case deserves. If nothing else, the data from the Jeep is odd enough to suggest something abnormal was taking place in that vehicle. Foul play should not be off the table by a long shot.

I'm actually now losing my patience with this case, and I'm starting to be convinced that someone else was involved. He/She/They either rammed Daniel off the road or forced him into the ditch, then abducted him.

Or Daniel set his own accident up and had arranged or found a ride out of there.

I totally agree. Also, is it that normal to have several instances of finding human bone fragments, shoulder blades etc (not Daniel's) in a relatively small area? So if nothing else, you would think it would make the PD or even just the community more vigilant/curious about what might be going on there.

Okay, just a point of clarification on bones....the skull and shoulder blade were NOT found as part of the grid search (small area). They were found several weeks earlier. Again, I wasn't there on the grid search so I don't know if the "5 or 6" mentioned by Sharon or David in his update/thank you included the previously found bones leaving just 3 or 4 from the grid or not. This larger area has been raw desert until the last 5 years and a known "dumping" ground for at least 80 years. The river drains many miles to the north which could pull bones downstream for deposit on the bank area which was the focus of the grid search. Not sure if all bones found are the same body or 5 or 6 separate bodies...

The jeep route to final crash site is across desert, no other tracks noted. But don't know if something happened prior to that.

That would be nice to know.:)

Thank you for that clarification. That helps to understand that area better too.

If bone fragments were found, could some be migrants who tragically perished in the desert? I don't think we can fathom how many there are in the Arizona desert. :(

Anyway it's very sad, IMO, when a family believes LE is having tunnel vision.

Yet I have to wonder the chances of a 2nd party being involved randomly after he unexpectedly took off on his own.

Do not the two most likely scenarios seem to be he was not in his normal state of mind -for whatever reason - when he took of driving alone and every other piece of evidence results from this disordered state (and he just hasn't been located), or if there was any 2nd party, he actually didn't take off alone?

What do you all think of the P.I finding one of his socks at the worksite? It makes me want to know if by worksite they mean the same place of work where employees said he took off. If that is what they mean, I would be so curious to know the relationships at that worksite and if there is any video evidence that backs up the other employee's story that he abruptly left for no reason. It seems hard to understand how boots could be found at the crash site but a sock at the worksite(presuming they mean a sock he was wearing that day). If they are not treating this as a criminal investigation, then IDK how much they have looked into the accounts of those employees.

Another area I have dug into and provided the tipline with information about are his social media accounts. I know they are looking into things on that end too. If he did leave abruptly let's say, one reason could have been getting a message, a snapchat etc from someone he was in contact with or just beginning a relationship with perhaps to meet them somewhere or resolve some conflict. He could have been lured into something that way. I am not saying that I think this is more likely than another scenario, but it adds a possibility beyond just leaving to dissappear, stage an accident etc. Many young adults use social media to meet people that their friends and family may not know of and end up getting into situations they were not anticipating.

I interpreted the 'work site' as the well site indicated by Buckeye PD where he drove off from. There are no security cameras at that site. I overheard at a search that the "c0worker" was actually another different company's contractor. I would assume he has been extensively interviewed by PD and vetted.
What SM accounts did you find? I found FB and an IG (with no posts) but I didn't go much further...

Okay, that is helpful to know that it was probably the well site and that the person with him was a contractor from another company(possibly). I was picturing someone who knew him really well when they said co-worker. I guess that could still be true but it gives it a more nuanced context.

I was watching some activity on his IG account (some recent followers/following), tiktok (no videos were uploaded though), FB, some friends posts of him on VSCO. The PI looked at what I sent and was already aware of it, but was glad to have any info that might be helpful. None of it lead to more clues about his disapperance, but seeing that he was very active on SM made me wonder about new relationships he may have had leading up to that point.

Are you sure on IG? <modsnip>

I hope the PI can get access to the pictures from where the sock was found and where the Jeep was found. If the PI can get them, I would be glad to review and provide an analysis, no charge. They can contact me through WS.
