Lol, of course if feels like 10 hours. There was 1 hour yesterday, an entire night in between, an hour and half today, then an hour or so lunch, and now back.

I feel for the lawyers, Judge, and families during these times the most. How nail biting it would be to have to sit and wait for a life altering decision, to be made by 12 strangers, and not be able to do anything else. Just wait. On call. Just waitin'.

Verdict Watch:

9-10-13: 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. (1 hour)
9-11-13: 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon (1.5 hours), 1:30 p.m. -

How's yer head, Josie?

:floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

I think her head exploded and mine did too!! So let's see...I'm writing this as of 2pm their time...thats 2 hours deliberations so far...total numbers I'm thinking is gonna be like 8....if they stay until 4:30 today that'll be 4.5 hrs total after today....so 3.5 hrs left...come in at 10:30 am-12pm....1.5 hrs...5 hrs total...lunch...1:30-4:30, 3 hrs....8 hrs...so we might have verdict end of day tomorrow, or they might sleep on it and have verdict Friday morning.

I'm surprised they don't have any questions yet. Does anyone know if they get copies of transcripts of interviews with them (like Vergillo's past interviews)?

I think they have to ask for them? Or maybe they have to ask for the recordings? :scared:

Yeah I don't think they get the transcripts of interviews or phone calls, only recordings. If they want transcripts of testimony, IDK. I think they have to ask but I don't know it works.

Judge was clear with them, transcripts could be used in court but they couldn't have them in the jury room, he seemed to remind them everytime one was used. lol

Wow! Really?! Here they have computers taking it all in, and jurors can re-hear what parts they ask for. May not be all typed out, that is still done by Court Reporters and takes what seems to be forever. Actually, it may be recorded via computer and typed up via voice thingy (I don't know what it is called), but Court Reporters still type up the official transcript for the appellate process.

I think if I was in the jury room, I would go over my notes and compare line by line Vergillo's version vs. Chrisman's version. So I could get both stories straight in my head. Then go over all the forensic science. That should lead them to the right conclusion....

LOL

Ian Howie ‏@Micsterator 2m @elizabetherwin @abc15 I'd said < 6 hrs.& guilty. W/ typical work-day in the county, could be many days & I'd still win. #RichardChrisman

I sort of expected at least a question by now.

Did they really take 11/2 hours for lunch?

That's what they tweeted, hour and a half in the jury room, an hour and a half for lunch.

I'm beginning to hope they don't reach a verdict today, just have this feeling that if they're wasting time they already have a verdict and it won't be what we think the evidence shows.

I thought the Judge said they would have the 911 recording, and if they wanted the transcript of it, they could ask for it? <modsnip>

It could be the dog issue? I think it could happen anytime, for non-capital cases, it runs between 2-5 hours......unless we have some jurors who aren't "color blind".:banghead:

Lord love a duck......if they take an afternoon break and go home at 4:30.....:hills: !!!!!

Monica Lindstrom ‏@monicalindstrom 1m @abc15 I think might end up hung jury, convicting cop of doing something that could b considered part of his job = tough #RichardChrisman

Uh oh. And she's a lawyer. I'm not getting my hopes up too high on this one, either.

It depends on whether or not they bought the defense story that Vergillo was outside most of the time. B/c if they didn't buy it and Vergillo was there, they have to believe Vergillo over Chrisman....Chrisman is the one who killed him and has EVERY reason in the world to lie about it.

But if the defense poked enough holes at Vergillo, and some think that he MAY have been outside, thennnnn, well they still can't believe Chrisman's story totally b/c it doesn't match with the forensic evidence. BUT they could conclude that something went down in there, that Chrisman maybe perceived the situation as worse or more threatening than it really was, and that although there was no threat, he could have perceived a threat. That's what I'm worried about.

Monica Lindstrom is a defense attorney and often thinks like one. Her posts often reflect her opinion as fact. She has no more idea than anyone else what this jury was going to do. She also predicted an 11:30 verdict, which is pretty ridiculous. Don't worry.

I have never heard this before...thank you for a great laugh.
