A sensitive cop who approaches calls with fear - is he serious?

Exactly. He sounds like he was being deployed to a riot or something. This was a standard DV call. What was he so fidgety and scared for? How could someone who thinks that way be a cop who is called to respond to much more dangerous situations than this one? It makes no sense to me. Why won't Juan play the 911 recording?

this guy is ridiculous.....like i don't even know what to say.

i'd understand if they said he had a gun and going in cautious but it was a standard DV call.

And with 'no known weapons'. I hope this jury isn't buying what he's selling.

ETA: Hope your foot is healing well. :)

Do you all think RC moved the taser?

So was Juan trying to say that, while he was alone in the trailer, he got Virgillo's taser and threw in outside so he could claim that he had to shoot Daniel b/c he felt threatened b/c he had no backup?

Camera back on, sound and seal.

That could be, we'll have to wait until JM's closing for him to put forth a cohesive theory.

Good thing we're not trying to post all of the tweets, with the live stream there are so many comments it'd be hard to weed though and find the ones from reporters.

i don't know Zuri, I'm starting to think that. He must have started panicking as soon as he shot him. When Virgillo was out, that gave him the perfect opportunity to kind of do a quick-think "omigosh how am I gonna get out of this?" I would suspect that the obviously the first thing he's gonna come up with is "i felt threatened by the suspect." then...but how am i gonna ezplain feeling threatened if Virgillo was there with me....oh lemme just throw his taser out, then I can say I was by myself....

I think he was coming up with the "virgillow wa outside" story right then......

i think theres a high probability he did, from what ive got from juans questioning anyways thats what i think.

i made it back with a min to spare, and i was up and down the stairs to lock the door and went to the bathroom. im getting the hang of this moonboot

does he think if he just plays dumb they'll give him a pass

  • #376
Ok, so they have at some point played the call?

Yes! If he acts innocent and non confrontational he thinks people will just believe him. His story doesn't make any sense.

You don't often see officers being held accountable in this way for this kind of behavior. Even if they are convicted they get short sentences. I wonder what will happen here.

i dunno how juan doesn't explode with the back chat he is giving him. my head would have came off long ago :floorlaugh:

  • #379
He is hitting the blame game hard.

i can see juan breaking him and bringing him out of his 'non confrontational' state on the stand.

i have faith that they will find him guilty and i just hope he gets the max sentence available
