This lawyer reminds me of Jack Black's character in Bernie.

Juan made a good point. The bike was not raised. IMO, RC was ticked that DR was not following his commands. This former cop is dangerous. IMO

i think someone has a superiority complex....

did his attorney just say 'so can a bike' referring to it as being a weapon?

my god we better ban bicycles they are deadly weapons

Ver-he-yo. Ver-gee-yo. Ver-jill-o. So many ways to pronounce this name.

  • #545
RC attorney acting all big shot, pacing back and forth just like Juan. lol

Oh Chrisman and his trained brain are getting on my nerves....

  • #547
Chrsiman's answers seem very rehearsed to me, just like CMJA's. It doesn't seem like a normal (innocent) person would answer.

Really? So a cover officer always has to be right next to you? He can never take a liberty to search around somewhere else. He also already said he didn't even know where Virgillo was. He could have been behind him the whole time.

Also, "if I put my hands on him he should do it too."

I would think the situation that preceded the officer putting his hands on a suspect matters. If he just puts his hands on him to try to make him come outside, even though he is not being threatening or attacking anyone, does that cover officer have an obligation to follow you? What if the cover officer feels you are being unethical and overly aggressive?

do we know if chrismas is the defenses last witness? i want rebuttal :(

also question, ive heard him referred to as a former cop and now the DT is calling him officer,is he or not?

oh i can't wait for jury questions,i wonder if they will be as good as the JA jury

jury questions....nervous!!

  • #551
Theses questions are not good.

Is it your job to run away?

So is it your job to shoot someone who has a bike in his hands? Does the response meet the perceived threat? Couldn't he have just shot him in the leg?

He is guilty.

It's obvious to me that Chrisman rehearsed and memorized his lies before trial just like CMJA. He does not show any real emotion of being scared and fearing his life at that moment. He does not elaborate or give detail on anything b/c it's made up! The details would be there if he had actually gone thru it the way he says he did.

Did the judge say they will bring the jury back at 3 pm? I just barely heard him.

bbm,hit the nail on the head there.

i always thought if an officer had to shoot, they were trained to incapacitate instead of kill if possible...you know bringing a suspect in alive and all that

Does V. back it up saying DR had the bike raised? I thought he said he was getting DR out of there on the bike and RC shot. Maybe I'm misremembering.

Can't wait to hear the jury questions.

assuming this is the first time he had shot and killed someone, surely you would remember all the details :/ i know they would be seared in my memory forever.

i hope they jury can see through him as we do.

juan clearly pointed out his lies (to me anyway) and you know what they say the truth never changes

Ugh I can't stand that Juan is not allowed to bring any backstory for Chrisman. If they knew he had previous warnings or whatever they're called, conduct violations, it would give them a better idea or why he did what he did. I'm afraid these jurors are gonna think, well what would cause him to just snap like that?

From what I read, the cover officer stands back about 3 feet. Virgillo stated he did grab DR other arms IIRC. If the cover officer feels that the other officer is being aggressive, it is up to the cover officer to diffuse the situation which Virgillo was trying to do. RC just said he wasn't there which is false. The cover officer should always remain with the contact officer. (I asked these same questions to a cop relative last week).
