Doesn't Juan have recording or transcript of Chrisman's interviews on the DAY of the murder? What did he say then, I'm sure it's a completely different story and he obviously didn't talk about "bashing brains out with bike" b/c Juan said it wasthe first time he had heard the story.

I don't udnerstand why we arent' hearing Chrsiman's story from earlier?

I'm sure they played it before, but I don't recall.

I agree with you guys...Vergillo's story has been consistent throughout. There are only semantic things, like difference b/w breach of doorway and right inside doorway or right outside doorway. Defense is making a big deal out of nothing.

I agree it sounds like Vergillo is on trial, not Chrisman.

Juan, where is Chrisman's early version of the story...did they even interview him that day??

Mehrens reasons for Vergillo's motivation for lying isn't enough for me. He iddn't do the killing. He might have gotten a warning and that's all.

RC attorney who was present during questions in the truck or whatever at the scene would not let RC speak to investigators. RC was quoted as saying DR went for his gun and he had no choice but to shoot him. I don't know if he ever spoke to investigators. I guess that attorney, a female from PLEA, did not want him to say anything on the record. IMO

If he had given an interview that day, this would be an easy conviction.

Well, even the one sentence that he gave then does not match up with what he said on the stand OR with the evidence. What he said on the stand was that he shot Danny b/c he was afraid Danny was gonna bash his brains out with the bike.

A while ago, I was up for jury duty. It involved police vs a defendant. One of the questions the judge asked during jury selection was " Would you believe the testimony of a police officer over others?" I answered yes, because I knew one of the cops involved. That and my personal history, precluded me from being impaneled on the jury.

Don't get me wrong. I know there are always a bad apple or two in a bunch. I took on a Wilmington cop because he was openly aggressive towards my patient. I had asked him to loosen the cuffs which were bruising my patient. He told me to leave the exam room and sit down. WRONG. I raised my voice and told him it was my patient, my ER, and HE needed to get his supervisor there pronto as I was not backing down. Good Lord, 6 cops came in, as another cop there saw what was going down and called for his superiors. That officer was relieved of his duty and escorted out by his Lt. Cuffs were removed. JMV

It was in the 246 pages that I read a couple of weeks ago. Apparently, a PLEA attorney is called immediately whenever there is an officer involved shooting. IIRC, his sergeant asked RC what happened and the attorney would not let him answer and answered for him.
