  • #41
Family members said Elizabeth Breck was last seen at a treatment facility, on January 13. They said she was taking part in a 30-day trauma program.

Christopher Breck said his sister receives treatment for mental health issues and has never done anything like this before.

Apologies if it’s bad etiquette to quote myself... I strongly suggest reading the “not recommended” reviews. I’m speechless.

After you posted this, I looked it up, too. Holy mackerel....

I cannot believe she hasn’t been found yet. I checked and there’s no new msm news on her. I hope she’s found soon.

Yeah. This isn't looking good the longer this goes on.

Agree with both of you. I’m curious how families decide on hiring a private investigator vs a search and rescue team. Not criticizing anyone’s decision, just honestly curious....

I wonder if the facility has surveillance video on all exits and entrances.

I wonder what Lordan is referring to in the video in an above post, when he says personal details about her that go against the family’s wishes and he thinks are completely irrelevant, have been shared on a discussion thread. I haven’t been able to find any details at all shared anywhere except for the news articles he’s reading. I haven’t looked at this case in a while because of the lack of details to even give a clue where to begin. Oh well. I hope she’s found soon.

Thinking of Elizabeth and her family this morning.

From yelp I gathered that this facility she was at is a dual diagnosis center, it’s possible that she has an addiction issue pertaining to or exacerbated by PTSD. That would explain why she took cash.. it’s so crazy she’s still missing.

Bless, I really thought she’d be found by now. I think about her often. The family must be sick with worry. Prayers for her to be found safe and soon.

I was going to quote something that I don’t think is allowed so I deleted it.

By the looks of it Elizabeth is very much cared for by many. I sure hope she comes forward soon and gets back home.

The family of a Tucson High teacher who went missing a month ago from a behavioral health treatment center has filed a complaint against the facility where she was last seen.

Elizabeth Breck checked herself into Sierra Tucson’s 30-day program for trauma in mid-January.

She went missing from the facility, which sits in a rural area just north of where Pinal and Pima counties meet, three days later on Jan. 13.

Her brother Chris Breck said the family filed a complaint on Feb. 2 with two agencies, the Arizona Department of Health Services and The Joint Commission, a national not-for-profit accreditation agency.

The complaint the family provided to the Arizona Daily Star contends Sierra Tucson didn’t follow its own guidelines or accepted standards of care, contributing to a lack of physical and emotional safety.

The family also wrote that Sierra Tucson declined to share information with them and a private investigator they hired, that Elizabeth Breck wasn’t provided a phone to call her parents overseas, and that there was no electronic surveillance to ensure patient safety. The same complaint claimed Breck had a wristband with a tracker in it that was found removed and destroyed.

I’ll delete if this isn’t allowed- https://seekingalpha.com/article/42...-fail-preclude-elizabeth-brecks-disappearance

“In Elizabeth's case; purportedly, a "tech" (likely a BHT or BHPP - Behavioral Health Paraprofessional, the lowest classification of behavioral health professional in Arizona) spoke to Elizabeth on the grounds shortly before she disappeared. Chris Breck said that individual...

...has not been interviewed, to my knowledge. I Would like to know why they approached her on the grounds and was this contact and her condition reported and what was the response?”

Family of missing Tucson High teacher files complaint against treatment center

According to the article, if she wanted to leave, she could just sign herself out and leave. I’ve been suspicious of the place since the beginning. Something isn’t adding up, IMO.
With due respect, it said at PREVIOUS places she was at she could sign herself out. The article doesn't clarify if that was that case at this particular facility - it sounds to me like she was still in an evaluation phase when she went missing.
