In regards to the POA guardianship papers and the detective who saw them, I am guessing on this but this is how I saw it.

It was reported that there was an incident where EJ "hid" the baby from LM at a "friends" house and then accused him of hiding the baby. This was mentioned by LM in one of his pressers also. It is separate from the incident in July.

I am guessing that this incident may have happened during late Nov, early Dec when TPS had Gabriel. I am also guessing that LM called the police (or his father being LE looked into it) and Gabriel was located at the Smiths. But they showed the detective this document that had been drawn up but not registered and the detective left it at that for the courts and the families to sort out? TPS must have just given the baby back to EJ and LM at that point and the matter was probably dropped.

I'm guessing they got the forms online, filled them out, signed them but never filed them.

Dang ... I was looking for the screen shot or pic someone posted of documents earlier but can't find it. I suspect they have lawyers on hand who will draw up any document they ask for or consult on a moments notice. The colonic business appears to be flourishing (who knows, but they list 5 different locations) and with all the baby adopting stuff going on, I'd bet anything they are always lawyered up.

Mom's car is found in missing baby case
January 6, 2010 - 9:59AM

http://www.eastvalleytribune.com/story/149171

Video:
Watch Tribune reporter Mike Sakal discuss the case on Tuesday's "Nancy Grace" on CNN Headline News.

The car was parked at a Motel 6 across from a bus station off Interstate 35.

“It has given us new info to follow-up on,” said Sgt. Steve Carbajal, Tempe police spokesman.

BBM. I35 runs north and south thru the state. I have a feeling that the motel was probably used as a way station. If the baby was sold/"adopted", EJ could have taken him as far as the 1st stop and then passed him to someone else for "delivery."

I hope that people who have seen the news stories are keeping an eye out for friends/neighbors who may have suddenly adopted a baby. (of either sex since at this stage he could still be disguised as a girl.)

For the record, I think the colon cleaning clinics may be a franchise (eewwww) but if you google the name of the clinic, they come up all over the country, and there's a lot more than five.
Not to mention, they are all located in strip malls, of the ones I have randomly picked to Google map.

I wonder if the financials match up with the image?

Good inference from what is known! I'm impressed.

I hope there is evidence the Smith's devised documents that were either fake or made up in light of knowing she accused LM of hiding the kid. Furthermore, I hope it can be proven that the Smith's were fully informed and were encouraging and coaching EJ on what to do. Unless of course, they are totally innocent as they claim (not likely).

“Both of them supported the adoption, but for some reason, Logan got cold feet at the last minute,” Tammi Smith said.

Smith also said she spoke with Johnson, who called her from the jail on Tuesday, but she did not disclose the whereabouts of Gabriel.

McQueary also said Tuesday that he never spoke to the Smiths until Dec. 19, when he found out about them through a Child Protective Services report when Johnson was trying to file a complaint of abandonment, claiming McQueary had not seen the child for 30 days.

Johnson had apparently been talking to the Smiths about adopting Gabriel after they met her on a plane while she was coming back from Boston, according to McQueary.

“I never talked to them about any adoption,” McQueary said. “I had no clue. I told them there was no way in hell I’m giving up my son for adoption. I wanted my son. She was pretty secretive about it.”

McQueary, who described his son as “always happy,” said he last saw his son on Dec. 8 after he and Johnson broke up, and although he said he believes Johnson is capable of harming the child, he believes Gabriel is still alive.

They are photos from when EJ went nuts and ransacked and started destroying things (I heard cutting up baby clothes too) Pic 8 looks like a mirror...unsure what 7 is and I can only assume the knife is what she used to cut things.

Picture seven APPEARS to be a cooking pan that is bent really badly.
Maybe she was using it to beat something, such as the mirror that is busted up in picture eight.

She is the owner of Healing Waters HEALTH AND WELLNESS CLINIC. There are lots of variations but I believe she's the only one with that full name and I think it's just the five locations. I do not think it's a franchise. She did claim to sell a couple in Nashville though when she was forced to leave because you cannot practice natural medicine in that state.

Three of those locations though are most likely just her renting space and taking appointments at a spa chain and then showing up for those appointments only.

Two of them do seem to be actual business addresses that should require some staff (unless one is her home address) although they all have the same phone number, probably a cell phone or a direct number to an answering machine or service.

Could be like a lot of folks - lots of money going in and out, looks like they have a lot of assets, but the net sum is not so hot or even zero-.

Funny how the clinics are presented as so personal and she focuses on her education, story, etc., but ya might just be getting a colon cleanse from just some hired hand. And, what is up with her presenting such and old pic of herself on the colon biz site.

I think Tammi has the 'image presentation' and networking thing down. The whole colon cleanse thing became popular in the 60's or 70's with the alternative, whole wheaty crowd (well, some of them). However, like a lot of that stuff, it soon became New Agey in the 80's/90's and has since bee adopted by those seeking to make money now that alternative medicine is more widely accepted - the whole genesis is similar to the sweat lodge thing and, unfortunately, those folks who died recently following their guru's advice.

Either dad is lying or Mrs. Smith I will pick the latter of the two. I have a feeling that Mr. Smith is in for a big wake up call in regards to his wife, this woman was out to get that baby period ! They need to arrest her for something ...Something sure stinks and Mr. Smith isn't smelling it yet ...
This is all very sneaky ..I hate that in a person !

Wow.

That says it all really. TPS was working all the angles as far as I'm concerned. There's no way that EJ was coming up with this stuff on her own. MOO

The article I posted earlier has been updated with this info:

"Johnson did not check into the Motel 6, but could be seen on surveillance video driving into the parking lot of the motel about 11:45 a.m. on Dec. 27, according to Hitu Eatel, manager of the motel.

“She was alone,” Eatel said. “She could be seen walking out of the parking lot about noon.”

Johnson walked toward a bus station across the street, Eatel said.

ETA:

McQueary said Wednesday that he hasn’t heard of any developments in the case, but remains hopeful that Gabriel will be safely returned.

“I’m just watching the news like everyone else,” McQueary said.

So this puts her for sure by herself without Gabe on the 27th of Dec before noon ... And she was seen with the baby on the 26th, that narrows it down to when she left him wherever. Do we know what day she sent the text message to Dad and supposedly Tammi ? TIA

I am aware that because of the lack of concern and the strict adoption laws in Nairobi (where TPS has done missionary work, according to her) there is a real problem of baby rings and illegal adoptions in the area. Some of them brought back to the U.S.
Tammi makes herself out to be this desperate woman on all these sites, yet she never responds, seemingly, to the offers she gets. Maybe she isn't looking for a surrogate, but for other desperate women. maybe so desperate they won't ask questions.
She knows a lot about adoptions, and doesn't seem afraid to smile and present improper documentation, without a care in the world. She seems to hedge that she at least knows about some underground organizations. There's good underground and bad underground. I am very curious as to which one TPS is familiar with.

BTW: Kenya does allow Americans to adopt...they just have to stay in Kenya to formalize it, then they can bring the child here, legally, as their own. I don't have a link but the US Embassy website would likely confirm this in their FAQ's. If she was the desperate woman she makes herself out to be on several websites, why not speak to an attorney, who could have told her this?
ETA: (On the surrogacy website, she says Americans cannot adopt from Kenya, thus the above law lesson.)

Just an idea, I really distrust TPS, and I don't know how deeply I should mistrust her.

I'm not ready to smack myself in the forehead, but you could be right. I intend to dig a little more, just to reassure myself, but you very probably are right.
I may have beaten my head off the desk a few too many times, it's making me slow.

I hope they are plastering this boys pics and her car all over the news there in TX, the problem I have with mom's story is because she states she left the baby with " Cheryl " if the baby is found deceased she can blame it on this couple she met in the park. For some reason I don't think she harmed him at least physically, I think there was a planned pick up ... day at the park to say her last goodbye to him.
Someone funded her adventure ... if he is underground which is the way Mrs. Smith seems to be directing this what are the chances of him being found ? I know it can't be hard to get a birth certificate for him especially at his age... I am distraught over all of this. I hope they can hold mom on no bond !!

Maybe they should put a little fear of God in her. I wonder if a bluff would work. . .tell her that they believe that she has killed him and that she could be facing murder charges is Texas. . . the state with the express lane to the death chamber. Might change her tune

I'm with you. I don't trust TPS either!
And another thing, I wouldn't be surprised if the stepdaughter wasn't a surrogate for her......of course just my opinion.

Not sure if this was posted here

Scroll down on her wall for post from Tammi
Apparently Tammi at one time had this young girls child also.

Tammi Peters Smith: She's doing great! How's Salina??? I miss her so much! I tried so hard not to get to close to her, cause I knew it would hurt too much if and when she left. I want a baby so badly. Were still looking for someone out there who wants to put their baby up for adoption. Next week my other clinic will be open, so I wi...ll only work 3 days a week. I will have lots of time to nourture a baby, so hopefully God will send a baby my way to adopt! God Bless you and Salina...I miss her so much!

How does the surrogate process work as far as after the baby is born? On TPS's myspace there are picture of her adoption day in court. After a surrogate mother has the child do they then have to go though a normal adoption process?
