Teething.
mom, do you think a Dr. would prescribe Tylenol w/codeine for teething? Maybe, but that would shock me, at least the codeine part anyway.
IDK, my children are grown, but I have 5 grandkiddos ages 8 mths-10 yrs and I've never seen that. When my oldest child was a baby, (ok, I'm old, but somehow once you get to 52, it just doesn't seem as old anymore, lol.) the Dr. prescribed paregoric (sp?) for just about everything from teething to a fussy baby. Even at my age then (16) I was extremely careful with that stuff and by the time my daughter came along 4 yrs later, you couldn't even get it anymore.
On a side note~About a yr or so ago I was talking to my daughter (I think regarding Caylee) and I was shocked when she told me of the people that she knows that use benadryl on a VERY regular basis. She doesn't, but has friends that do.
