Did they actually say they had no contact with her until some myspace email was sent? When was that sent. After her "confession" to LM so they wouldn't worry? What about TPS posting on her fb on Dec 24 about the "underground" help?

I don't think the Smiths are doing an effective job hiding their knowledge of Gabriel's whereabouts. They appear like they're trying ineffectively to cover up the smugness, but failing badly.

I swear to goodness at one point she gave NG a 'wouldn't [LE] like to know?' look. They're wearing the self-righteous-justification-smirks of people who think they're doing something for the "greater good."

I wonder if they (Smiths) didn't convince EJ to send the "death text" to make her look that much worse (not that I think she needed any help) for when Gabe is finally found.

Could they be nuts enough to believe that they can somehow knock the bio dad out of the running, and now if they can set up this crazy "run for the hills" with mom, including a transparent, psychotic story and false murder confession (praying it's false still), that they might somehow strongarm this child from his rightful kin?

After reading and watching everything on this case, you are probably right. They are nutty. Beyond nutty. It's almost like they live in their own reality. Freaky.

Just go to FB and type her name. It will come up but it is private so you can't really see anything unless you are her friend. MS is public though.

Just a hint: She might even accept you as a FB friend if you're interested.

I did notice that her cafemom posts are no longer publicly available.

Or they were going to hide him out there until the heat was off and everyone just assumed that both EJ and Gabriel were on the run with this "underground" connection.

ETA: Maybe he was going to come back to them as a foster child when he was a little older?

I was thinking this same thing yesterday .... and easily dye his hair dark.

I am hoping that LE has concrete proof that the Smiths are involved, emails, cell phone records, etc. They are making themselves look worse then ever with their denials. They think that saying that they offered to do a LDT makes them look innocent. I just don't think LE would make such a bold statement of naming them as POI if they didn't have all their ducks in a row.

Now that I've gotten over that crazy interview w/ NG vs. Smiths, I have a question. What is in all of this for Elizabeth? What is it she wanted to gain by getting rid of Gabriel? Revenge towards Logan? The pleasure of manipulation and control over people by using Gabriel as a pawn? Money? Freedom from motherhood?
Surely, she did not expect to go to jail. What is in it for her if she does not talk?
How can ANY of these players expect to waltz off into the sunset, everybody happy, Smiths with Baby Gabriel, EJ glad she "got back" at Logan for being mean to her, scot free without punishment.

Along with the fact that on TPS fb she never once mentioned Gabriel until Dec. 12th the day after the initial court hearing.

In SA there are a couple of very unethical adoption agencys,,I am wondering if LE are questioning them? Also in TX (new law) if a mom makes an adoption plan and she is not married and birthdads name is not on the birth certificate then they do not need to get birthdad to consent to the adoption.
This little guy might have been placed internationally.
Now my question is why did she go on to Florida?
I know that if an agency is licensed in florida and also in another state, then birthmoms consent can be run through Florida.
Adoption laws are very very different in every state and there isn't much regulation. If she did place the baby in TX and sign consent, then it maybe a legal placement.

I don't think the Smiths know where Gabriel is. I think they may have helped Elizabeth to make contacts with other desperate parents. I believe they took everything Elizabeth said as truth and believed her BF was abusing them.
The Smiths knew they would never be able to adopt little Gabriel, but wanted him safe.
I believe they helped Elizabeth and know more than they are telling. But if it was a closed adoption, the new couple would have been very careful and not given any info.
But, then again the Smiths seem to have the inserting your foot in your mouth disease! So I could be totally wrong!

Don't know how they actually died, but it is reported that they were drug addicts. And yes, it seems that again, a child in need of help slipped through the cracks with social services.
