Okay I was at about 80% sure Elizabeth killed Gabriel. Now I'm at 98%.

God please help LE find this baby, whatever has happened to him.

Question: can LE do searches, e.g., landfill searches, without the public knowing? Anybody know of a case where LE searched landfills and asked the media not to publicize it?

Do we have any WSers in the San Antonio area willing/able to take a ride out to the landfills and see if LE's there searching?

Actually, it's done in so many csses that the media is sick of it and don't really cover it anymore. On the fip side of that, it's entirely possible that they have already done their cursory search of the dumps, but the risk to dogs and searchers is hugs, so it's usually a surface exam only.

He looks like a wreck. Imagine all the stuff that's coming out in this and him just hearing about most of it for the first time. It's got to be killing him that if he knew, he could have prevented it. I'm sure he's going back on everything that did happen between them since Gabriel's birth and wishing he had dealt with it all differently.

On "The Early Show" Thursday, Tempe police Sgt. Steven Carbajal told co-anchor Maggie Rodriguez, "We have some indications that Gabriel is still alive. ... We're optimistic Gabriel is alive, and we're doing everything wee can to return Gabriel safely to his father."

He stressed that Tempe courts have named McQueary as Gabriel's custodial father. Calling McQueary a "loving father," Carbajal added, "There's no doubt in my mind that Gabriel would be very well off with Logan and his family."

McQueary told Rodriguez, "I'm really sad. I want to find Gabriel. I want to get any help we could get out there. I'm hoping he's with some people who don't know anything about this and ... if they're worried about getting in trouble, just take him to a fire station, a hospital, anywhere."

He said he thinks Johnson is capable of hurting Gabriel, but doesn't think she did.

"I want to give Gabriel a good life, make him part of the family. (Johnson) never seemed like she really cared much about him."

It doesn't matter how many times or in what venue she says she killed the baby. She can say that a thousand times. A confession without corroborating evidence is no evidence at all. If she did kill him and they don't find anything, the statement that she killed him means squat. Useless in her prosecution.

IMO, not being able to produce a living child and past behavior and statements about wanting to hurt this child is pretty big evidence. And there won't be any hearsay issue when DFS files are introduced at trial. She only came up with the phantom couple adoption story when she was arrested and was suddenly facing murder charges. That gives me the impression that they don't exist, the adoption never happened, and the story was made up to save her own a**.

"So basically you were on the edge and Logan pushed you off", Tammi said. And then Tammi asks "why wouldn't you want Logan to have your baby", and of course Elizabeth answers with "he's a very controlling person, he's a felon, he's not capable of taking care of the child". In more recent interviews TPS has tried to not mention Logan as much, someone must have warned her about this.

These people make me so sick.

They have to have something physically incriminating or they can't even bring it up that she confessed.

I think it's made up too, but I think she had help from TPS in cooking up the story...TPS may be so far gone that she believes it.

Very nice to see that ! I guess the Smiths know to watch it with the Tempe PD by Logan's side. I hope that he gets Gabriel back unharmed, but my "hinky meter" has been on alert since this story came out.

Recently an Oregon wife claimed that two men attacked her and her husband, kidnapping her husband to never be seen again. She only got a good look at one guy she claimed and did a composite. It looked just like her. Turns out she had killed her husband and ran him through a wood chipper. A mother back east claimed a scary looking guy attacked her and her son, killing her son. The composite was so scary I think anyone who saw this guy would have called out the men in black. Sadly, mom was the one who killed her son.

If this composite turns out fairly normal looking, I might have to reconsider whether this couple exists.

It would be interesting to know if Elizabeth ever mentioned this "abuse" by Logan to anyone else, other than Tammi. What are the chances that Tammi encouraged these allegations to make the transfer of custody/adoption easier ?

I wonder if they will even release it. I am thinking they would ask for a lie detector test before releasing a drawing to the public (unless they were sure it was legit and I don't know how they can be sure with her). Maybe this is an attempt to get another crack at her.

I'm not sticking up for the mother at all. But after listening to her talk to reporters I think at the very end of it when TPS and the reporter told her that she could get charged with murder and spend the rest of her life in prison it scared her. You could tell her voice got a little shakey and that she was really starting to think of what the situation is.
So LE now is reporting they feel the baby is alive then just maybe this mother got the crap scared of her and is now possibly speaking.
I pray that this is the case!
