I am just curious as to why there has been no reward offered for the return of Baby Gabe or information to his location. The only other reason I can think of right now of why he has not been returned is that if the couple exsists is they paid for him, I have other thoughts but would rather not go there ...I think I need more coffee..

This is one of the most interesting parts of a case like this I look forward to. The composites based on non existent people are telling. Of course everyone remembers the bushy haired stranger. Recently an Oregon wife claimed that two men attacked her and her husband, kidnapping her husband to never be seen again. She only got a good look at one guy she claimed and did a composite It looked just like her. Turns out she had killed her husband and ran him through a wood chipper. A mother back east claimed a scary looking guy attacked her and her son, killing her son. The composite was so scary I think anyone who saw this guy would have called out the men in black. Sadly, mom was the one who killed her son.

If this composite turns out fairly normal looking, I might have to reconsider whether this couple exists.

But, remember, in the cases you mention it was to each killer's benefit to make the imaginary stranger look evil and menacing. In this case, it's to the mom's benefit to make the strangers look kind, normal, and trustworthy. I have a feeling the couple in the composite will look bland and have no distinguishing features.

It would be interesting to know if Elizabeth ever mentioned this "abuse" by Logan to anyone else, other than Tammi. What are the chances that Tammi encouraged these allegations to make the transfer of custody/adoption easier ?

I think the chances of encouragement from Tammi are quite high and the chances of mentioning the "abuse" from Logan to others is quite low.
Does anyone else get the feeling that Ol' Jack is getting a bit more nervous?

Full raw interview of Elizabeth at the jail by the news station (video link with audio only):

http://www.kpho.com/video/22155911/index.html

Omfg she sounds just like Casey. Well... except that Eliz is articulate and well spoken.

This interview is unbelievable. Tammi is also talking with Elizabeth as well as the reporter.

I'm going to put Craigslist on hold for now, and work instead on transcribing this interview. Unbefrigginlievable.

(BeanE is using the F word a lot this morning :-) )

ETA: I'm dying here. You all have GOT to listen to this interview. What a way to start my day. I already had to take extra blood pressure meds.
Oh, wow. I think I'll join you in using the 'F' word, BeanE.

This phone interview of Elizabeth from jail just chilled me to the bone, because she sounds so much like Casey they could be twins.

The inflections in her voice, the was she repeatedly refers to Gabriel as "the child", the exact same pattern of speech when she says, "because I..." (very drawn out - think Casey in her first phone call home from jail), even the way she uses the phrase "reaching out".

Especially because her 'story' about handing Gabriel over to a couple in a park is so implausible, and her complete lack of concern for Gabriel's well being.

Chilling. Another Casey Anthony, in my opinion.

I'm sure this has been mentioned (I've been crazy busy and haven't had time to read every post) but what bothers me is that Elizabeth still has the car seat. If you were going to give your baby away to a couple who had none, why would you need your car seat anymore? Wouldn't the couple ask to take it so the baby could travel safely? If Elizabeth cared even an inkling for her baby's safety, wouldn't she have just given it to them?

either a) there was no couple, and she is lying (which is what i believe)

or

b) the couple that took the baby didn't care enough about his safety to ask for/get the car seat. I mean, they're already getting a baby right? It's not like it's an imposition to ask for the car seat.

I'm just not buyin' it.

And if she is to be believed (which I personally don't) neither situation is good. Especially since it's (apparently) the type of couple who would just accept a baby from a distraught mother without taking it to the police or trying to get her help and not care if the baby had a carseat

It will be interesting to see this composite drawing that Elizabeth is, allegedly, helping the FBI come up with.
Yeah, I just won't be surprised if it looks like Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez. The invisable nanny.

The authorities need to spend their time looking in dumpsters and landfills if they want to find this baby. In my opinion.

I don't believe she gave Gabriel to a couple. I think she killed him in a fit of rage, probably while coming down off of meth.

It would be interesting to know if Elizabeth has followed the case.

I wonder if they will even release it. I am thinking they would ask for a lie detector test before releasing a drawing to the public (unless they were sure it was legit and I don't know how they can be sure with her). Maybe this is an attempt to get another crack at her.

Good point regarding the lie detector test...I would also like to see the Smith's take one as well.

I wonder if they ran cadaver dogs through the hotel rooms and car.

Or...

c) the "couple" (I still don't think there's a man involved here) knew that they were there to pick up a baby and had the proper provisions with them. Also they wouldn't want to get caught with any of that baby's property now would they? I wonder if Gabriel is wearing pink clothing right now?

I believe that the police are doing more than they are letting on. I would not be surprised if she did eliminate the child (I just can't type the "k" word). This is so very sad -- I saw Gabriel's picture on Nancy Grace last evening and he is such a cutie! I pray that my gut instincts are wrong and he is alive and well.

Good question Mels from San Antonio...what are you doing today ? Just kidding, sort of...

Is this being covered well in your neck of the woods ? Any talk of search efforts ? TIA.

Can someone provide me with the name of the hotel that EJ stayed at in San Antonio. I can't locate where it was posted in the first thread. I noticed that TPS made it a point to clarify that EJ had booked the room a week in advance on NG I think? I suppose that question must have come up from LE. How did she choose that hotel and why? Somehow I don't think it was the cheapest place to stay and EJ was supposedly paying for it herself with the money she raised by selling dogs, renting rooms etc. Some hotels require a credit card number to reserve a room even if you pay cash when you get there. Did this one? Was a credit card number used to book the room?

While researching on Babybrokers,I can say they promise these young girls things that we know can never happen.
One thing I know from this is they do tell these girls they can get new social security number and start a NEW LIFE.

Gabriel is alive somewhere, his mother did not kill him but she has been duped by a band of baby sellers who took advantage of her mental state.

She is NOT a young girl..she is not a juvenile...she is an adult
I refuse to call her a "girl" and I refuse to go along with any sympathy to her

I feel zero sympathy for her..."took adavantage of her mental state"??? ugh

duped?? so what....take your meds or go in a mental hospital...I am sick of seeing these tragedies and then people boo hoo for the ones who cause them

As for the grandfather and the father and anyone else who was around this dangerous woman why didn't they get her help or find a safe place for the baby?? I am disgusted

and I personaly feel she is a sociopath, with anger problems

I don't care a bit about her...I pray the baby is safe but if not *(and I fear he is not) I hope the case goes down in Texas where they are not afraid to use the death penalty on a woman

So if something did happen to Gabe, the trial would be in SA?

I also believe there is a reason she went to San Antonio, close to the Mexico border. Why would she go there, unless she thought she could change her name and SS# there. She did tell her Grandpa something like that.

she sounds like CA but with a bit more rage in her.
Sadly, I don't think TPS knows where this child is. I think EJ killed him, unfortunately.

This might explain why we are not hearing from her family :

*************************************************************************

Gabriel's great-grandfather says Elizabeth did not want to be a mother but wanted her baby to be in a stable home.

"She didn't want him brought up life like her - 5 foster homes," explained Robert Johnson.

Yawn...let me get out the little violin

why not use birth control then?? Or give the baby up when he was born thru a legit adoptioni agency??? I am sick of these sob stories

where was old Bob when all this was happening?? I love when "grandparents" / parents jump in after seeing their offspring get in trouble ! He knew she was violent, full of rage, postpartum depression...but do nothing.

excuses excuses.....nothing is an excuse for what this horrible woman did to that baby in his short 8 months...nothing is an excuse to kill him which I fear she did and really nothing is an excuse to give away a baby in a park

:boohoo::boohoo:

I wonder if she had more money on her when she was found in Miami. She did tell the dad that she would let him know where Gabriel was after she was out of the country.
