Mr. Bergdahl was reported missing by his wife. He left a note for his wife stating he was going to exercise across the street. The note was found on 01-19-19 at approximately 2:00 PM. His wife reported him missing around 6:36 PM. Bergdahl suffers from dementia. He was driving a red 2014 Toyota Prius with AZ Plate BSV 6232. He was going to exercise across the street, yet he took his car? Did they live off of a highway, I wonder? That might explain why he took his car instead of walking across the street. Did he normally leave at 4:00 am to exercise daily, or was this a matter of him waking up early and deciding to exercise because he couldn't sleep?

I looked up the Southern and Power near Leisure World, as listed in the SA. (Circled in red on attached pic.) Hoping to see if there might be a gym or a park where he thought he'd go exercise.

Sadly, it does look like he was surrounded by lots of 4 and 6 lane streets; easy to get turned around if he was in the dark and suffering from dementia. Plus, looks like a sea of shops, malls and parking lots across both roads. Ugh.

Saying prayers he is found unharmed!

And I hate it more when people with Alzheimer's or even a bit of dementia are driving! Arghhh

Does he live in Leisure World? What was the name and address of the place he was supposed to be exercising out of? Did they open early enough for him to get inside the gym.? Does he go there on a regular basis. Who saw him at the juncture of South and Power?

It appears that Leisure World is a huge planned community. If you can click on the pic I attached, Leisure World is both a street name and the entire section of housing located N+W of Southern and Power - at least GoogleMaps indicates this to be the case.

Looks like there is another community to the N+E of this same intersection. For all we've been told (not much), he may have lived there and not in LW. Murky is right!

I didn't see any gym associated with the name Leisure World. It seems likely that a planned development would have a pool and workout room at a main clubhouse for residents, but who knows?

The last link provided in cyber's original post contained the info about Southern and Power near LW. It never specified the source, whether that might be his wife or LE. May be totally wrong, even!

I just noticed that in the SA itself, the wife said hub's note stated he was going across the street to exercise at the recreation center. Sounds like he lived in LW, then.

LE checked the center, as well as surrounding areas.
