For what it's worth with Chandler Halderson it was more than just money. He had been lying to everyone about his life. He'd dropped out of school, but didn't tell anyone. He claimed that he'd gotten a job with SpaceX in Florida and was planning to move down there with his girlfriend (she had no idea it was all a lie). Then he supposedly lost that job due to a (fake) head injury. The lies kept piling up. Eventually, his dad discovered Chandler wasn't registered for classes and confronted him. That's when the murders occurred.

Two local murder cases continue to crawl through the court system, with upcoming hearings scheduled in both the Zachary Dillabough and Hunter Stanfield cases.

Meanwhile, a jury trial in the Stanfield case is scheduled to begin Nov. 5 at 8:30 a.m. in Payson, also before Judge Chambers.
That trial is expected to last six to nine days.
Hunter Stanfield is charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of Chase Stanfield, 39, and Gail Stanfield, 50. Authorities allege he murdered the couple at their home in Whispering Pines in October 2022.
