KVOA is always on top of anything related to kids. Kristi Tedesco, one of the anchors is VERY involved with child-related community events and has her own "Kristi's Kids" segments.

There are violent sex offenders right in the neighborhood. An astounding amount, actually, and several are not only child molesters but are high level offenders. I am so sad for this family. I hope she turns up fast. I hope they've brought the dogs into the case already.

Another thing many families do, they have child finders posted on the children's windows in case of a fire. I always hesitated, it tells perps right where to find the kids....

I've been a member of WS since Caylee's case broke and in all this time, unless my memory fails me, I have yet to see a child abducted by a known RSO...it's always been by someone unexpected or by the parent/s or caregiver/family member. Am I wrong?

When I look at their home, I cannot help but think someone would have to enter the fence area and walk around the house to breach a window. I would think the dogs wouled alert...IMHO

We don't know how the house is set up- it could be a fairly typical "ranch" floorplan where the smaller bedrooms are in the front with windows in the front yard and the master in the back. If the dogs were in the backyard or in the master it would be easy to open the front window and go from there.

Also--as to knowing the floorplan. If this neighborhood is done in a fairly traditional style- once again the "ranch" style if you know one, you know them all. A quick peek through a window and you can tell what room is in pinks and what one is in blue. I live in a neighborhood and can tell just from my evening walks which kid lives in which room (girly stickers on the window also a giveaway). And if it is in a development, usually there are only 3 or 4 different floorplans. So I don't think it would be an issue.

You're right, it wouldn't take much for someone to easily spot which room was hers if they had been casing the house/neighborhood and the room was in the front of the house. It would seem much more risky, however, to have taken her from a front room on the street than in an isolated back yard; yet likewise, who would enter a back yard if they knew dogs could possibly be out there or alert to an intruder?

ETA - after just having seen an aerial view, it does not appear this is a traditional neighborhood of ranch-style homes of the near-same floor plan. Sadly it appears to have easy access to both front and back yard.

Couple of things to note about the house that I noticed with Google Maps:

-Their entire property is fenced. Also, near the front entrance there is what appears to be a patio/courtyard type thing out front with a gate.

-Across the street is another house that looks to be built around the same time as the Celis family. The rest of the houses on the street look MUCH older, and are designed much differently.

-Next door to the house across the street is an empty lot. Behind that empty lot is the back of a shopping center (with numerous dumpsters, etc)

-The house is on a corner lot. Next to it is what appears to be a pretty main road. Across the street from that parallel road is another shopping center.

I checked Kristi's facebook and there's not much. I did thank KVOA for reporting but shame on KOLD & KGUN 9. When the police chief said they could still possibly get an Amber Alert but are relying on flyers & social media...well...shaking my head.

Normally most dogs would bark if someone were walking around in their yard.

Very good point. It's not the ones that we know about that we have to worry about so much, it's the ones we don't know about that we have to watch out for.

Who knows who this person is that has Isabel. No one should have to worry about some freak coming into their private residence and helping themselves to a kid. The weather in Tucson right now is at the point where it is sooooo hot during the day, but still mild at night. Running an A/C unit at night in April is costly and most people leave the windows cracked at night.

PRESSER RECAP:

-Police chief says continued search throughout the night.

-Working with border patrol, FBI, US Marshalls, and several sheriffs departments.

-Used every resource they can find. Including canine, dept of corrections, and bloodhounds.

-Flying out specialized dogs from FBI Headquarters in Quantico, VA.

Taking Q&A's now..

-Cannot rule parents out yet. Not ruling ANYONE out. Family is cooperative, meeting with investigators again currently.

-Will not discuss where Isabel's bedroom is located within the house.

-No signs of forced entry. They have pinpointed a location with signs that they believe may be a point of entry.

-Classifying the case as a "suspicious lost child and possible abduction"

-Search is focusing on 2.5 mile radius

-Looking for commercial surveillance equipment that may have captured something of interest

-"haven't even thought about" having parents address the media. Right now they are with investigators.

-Neighborhood is middle class, residential but near many shopping areas. Not a high-crime area.

-The mother WAS home "during the evening." Was NOT home when Isabel was reported missing.

-Case doesn't fit criteria of Amber Alert because they have no possible suspect, vehicle information or direction of travel.

-Variety of different locations to look at, and search.

-About 140 people working on the case right now.

-Still working on ground search of the area. About 80% done.

-No indications Isabel has wandered off.

-Interviewing RSO's as standard protocol.

-There was a trash pickup prior to LE being able to lock-down the scene. Because of that, they are doing a landfill search of trash removed from the neighborhood for potential evidence. It is ongoing now...will take 2-3 more days.

-Urging residents to keep an eye out for Isabel...please call 911 if you have any tips or sightings.

-Went door to door several times already in the neighborhood.

-Will not discuss where they served warrants, or why.

-Family members cell phones have been looked at by investigators. Part of standard protocol.

-Do not have any information on what Isabel was last seen wearing.

Presser will be every 2 hours.
