I think it would be clearer if the sentence was Sergio had his side of the family there but they have now left. At least this is clearer to me. jmo

Sometimes it is just difficult for me to type and listen to the interview at the same time without missing a word while I am recording it. :what:

1st BBM: That MIGHT be the case, however, as I previously stated, the Rosary is NOT to be worn as a piece of jewelry around the neck is pretty standard across the board ...

2nd BBM: What a person thinks is "appropriate" does NOT make it right or "acceptable" ...

And it really set off my radar when I saw the parents with the Rosary around their necks ... it is like they are trying to make a "statement" that they are "religious" ...

I would like to know IF -- IF there are any other PREVIOUS photos of the Celis with the Rosary around their necks ...

OR ... are they now wearing the Rosary SINCE Isabel was reported "missing" ...

:moo::moo::moo:

What difference does it make if it makes them feel better? Someone very special may have given them to them. The priest may have blessed them. But, again what difference?

No one was there that night and cant say who called 911. Uncle/Cousin was around that early in the morning to be knocking on neighbours door. Still wonder about that guy. JMO

WHOA ... BBM: WHY can't they say who called 9-1-1 ?

Thanks ... I am unable to watch the interview live so reports here are appreciated ...

Who is Isa close to besides the parents? Mostly the parents but there are aunts, uncles, grandparents who help out, aunt is godmother, family helps to pick her up etc.

She wants to be right by the home to wait for the detective's call, it's hard to go back to work because she feels she's giving up on Isabel but eventually they have to, there are bills to be paid. He has the full support from his office, grateful that they're giving him this time.

Surgical? I wouldn't want shaking hands on me IMO

  • #988
He needs to be 100% to be back at work, it's a surgical office.
Arizona Opera, there was a concert, can't say enough about them.

:moo: :moo::moo:

It makes a big difference IF someone is "flaunting" religion as well as "flaunting" religious symbols ...

In other words, trying to 'influence" the public of something that may or may not be ...

ITA, whatever brings them some comfort. Customs differ in different cultures and different places.

Sergio says he is a dental surgical assistant, he is grateful for their support and the time he's able to spend away from work.

Arizona Opera, he can't say enough about them. He says it's a seasonal job.

They don't know when they'll go back to work but know eventually they will have to, they have to pay their bills.

Not sure how you meant your post. But, I am sure his hands weren't shaking before his baby daughter was stolen. I would be shaking all over. jmo

1.this was heavily discussed a few threads back
2. There are pics on RCs Facebook of her oldest son wearing a rosary well before Isa was missing
3. These purple rosaries they are wearing now are pretty obviously a token or representation of the search for Isa
4. Of all the things to worry about, if they are correctly practicing Catholicism seems IMO incredibly trivial.

Wonder if mom knows her facebook pictures are wide open and the uncle/cousin has Isabel on his POF for god knows how long before she was taken.

:moo::moo::moo:
there are photos of one of Isabels brothers wearing them.
I see nothing wrong with anyone wearing it any way they want.

Again, we've had previous posts discussing that wearing the rosary is an acceptable cultural practice among Hispanics in some regions.

And frankly, if it were my child missing, I'd be toting all sorts of relics, religious texts, etc. Whatever could keep me going through the day and not lose hope.

They've stayed away from watching some of the scrutiny, they haven't seen a lot of the news, haven't seen anything you've seen, didn't watch yesterday's interview, they want to be strong. We don't wanna play into whatever ugly things there are out there, baiting them, if you want to make a circus they're not going to feed into it, keep the focus on their little girl, keep praying, that is the focus. They can only obviously answer so much but they are being advised, they don't want to risk the integrity of the investigation, they don't want to risk Isabel. If it's about Isabel, getting her picture out there, by all means they'll talk to the media but if it's about the scrutiny, no.

Don't know about other cultures but we were taught never to wear the rosary around our necks, however I was given a rosary bracelet for my First Holy Communion back in the 50's and did wear that on occcasion..JMHO

Madeleine, my amazingly awesome GSD died from cancer, she was only 6. :anguish:

Back to topic. Waiting for the presser...

So sorry to hear this. German shepherd lover here too, I'm on my fourth one. My handle (Thorkim) is after my first one, Thor, even tho I'm female. He had cancer too.

My German shepherds bark at people two blocks away getting their mail. It is crazy and I am really not worried about people breaking in my house with both of them around, even tho I don't have kids.
