I feel that if wearing ANYTHING around their necks, religious (right/wrong don't care), non religious, brings a worried family even slight comfort then thats their choice. I fully support them on that, its also widely noted on various web pages that 'some' people do wear it, so if you are offended thats your belief not theres. It concerns me that people are that suspusious and narrow minded that they'd condemn aperson on how they express there own faith.

To me they seem a family, struggling with the situation, struggling with media etc of course they will need to return to work, they're not millionaires! JMO I PRAY isa is home asap, safe with her family.

Honestly, with every day that goes by, I lean more towards someone in the family being involved. Not only would it be the more common explanation, but it is where I think the facts are leading, and what my gut tells me. I want very much so for the family to not be involved. However, I am not going to be made to feel guilty for discussing my opinions on this case. With all due respect to everyone, this isn't the "Support parents of missing children no matter what" community. This is a discussion community about the case, and that is what we are doing. My heart breaks for them, regardless if they are involved or not, but I would really like to continue discussing all of our theories, without anyone implying they are bad for their suspicions.

I mean no disrespect. I am not Catholic but was raised in the church. Our church split into 2 churches because of different beliefs within the same church. Regardless, neither group taught me to believe that I was closest to God while fishing. But I am.

It is perfectly ok for you to hold your beliefs tight while being aware that others may do it differently.

It's better (IMO) to be sitting by a lake, fishing and thinking of God, than sitting in church, daydreaming about fishing.

“Judge not, lest you be judged” (Matthew 7:1)

A catholic judging is hypocrisy, is it not?

:seeya:

:truce: Not to be disrespectful in any way ... just clarifying, but I did not use the word "judge" or any form of that word in my post ...

:fence: this fence is hurting my arse.

I am committed to staying on the fence much longer this time. I was convinced Jonathan Foster's mom was guilty when it was that creepy Mona woman that did it...and then I supported Billie Dunn for weeks. So basically, when I come off the fence and make a judgement, everyone run the other way...I'll be wrong. :)

I really wish there was something for us to sleuth. As it is, we have so little we are engaging in pointless bickering and opining as to theories with so very little to back things up.

I really do understand having hunches or gut feelings about things, I do too, but with so little to go on we all feel helpless. I am sure the Celis' are very frustrated with no real direction to focus their energies.

(snip)When asked who Isabel was close to, a lot of talk of family. Again, nothing wrong about that, its just strange to me that no friends of hers have come forward, and they don't talk about her friends. Was she sheltered?

(snip)

She was SIX!
Early on the older brothers of someone she played with at the park during the ball game on the 20th spoke about her, but it would be pretty traumatic for a six-year old to have a camera and microphone shoved in their face as a reporter asks what they think happened to Isa, or if they miss her. I am sure the parents of her classmates and teammates have enough trouble as it is getting their kids to go to bed after this happened. I am sure they would rather keep their children from thinking about it or discussing it with reporters. I don't think it is typical to interview friends of a child this young. They spoke to one of Kyron Horman's classmates on TV and most of what he said was inaccurate.

Good try!

You had an extraneous "http://" in there...and you can go back and edit your post. :)

Here's the fixed link:

I try to test my links before and after posting them...I said "try"... ;) Sometimes in a hurry, "stuff" happens. :D

This is sooo true! When my kiddos were 6, we didn't have very many friends (if any really) that came over for a regular basis. It would be more like birthday parties with classmates. When they got to about 3rd grade was when there were alot more playdates, children from the neighborhood coming over and things like that.

What I find strange about Becky and Sergio is also, as Lark said, they are "moving on". They said they had intentions of maybe sending the boys back to school this week, but no, now maybe it will be next week (but there is no contingency related to Isabel). (snip)

I think they probably INTENDED to keep the boys out of school until their sister returned, but since it has been two weeks, they may realize the need for the boys to finish the school year, which probably is only a few more weeks. There's nothing gained by keeping them out of school indefinitely. Some missing children don't show up for years, if at all.

It seemed to me that you were judging the parents (or anyone who wears a rosary) because they wore the rosary. And then in a round about way called them hypocrites. Maybe I'm mistaken?? Maybe I read your posts wrong? If so I apologize. If not maybe you should do some research on the rosary to find what is appropriate and what is not.
I do not know what the cows are for.
All of this is OT so I'm not addressing it again in the thread any more.

Strange how rapidly this case has moved. IIRC, didn't LE say, after only 7 days, something to the effect that the case was going to go cold ??? Just astounding...MOO

Are there any active searches going on at this time ? Anyone looking for Isabel ? Seems like LE is convinced she is close to home...That 3 mile radius ?

iT sounds,IMO, a little... off.. when SC says they "will never stop looking ". MOO, but when I heard it, it put me in mind of OJ, out looking for the "real killers " MOO

One useful comment from the presser (I thought) was that everyone close to them or who had ever been in their house has been interviewed. Maybe that is meaningful somehow.

ML has a new status update that is sort of strange

I do not know what the cows are for.

Respectfully snipped by me, the cows are for MOO - my own opinion, since cows say "moo." Or at least that's how I have interpreted the cows!

The Rosary is not jewelry. Blessed by a priest or not. People of the Catholic faith know this. It is important to me as a Catholic. I find it offensive and disrespectful. I really don't care if it makes them feel better. And, it probably has nothing to do with Isabel missing. The difference it makes for me is that by doing so, wearing the Rosary like jewelry, causes me to believe there is manipulation going on....

IMO only

I think that fashionable and culturally acceptable or not, it is disrespectful of a specific faith to misuse a religious token or artifact. If I wanted to make a bra top out of two yarmulkes, I doubt anyone would think that was cool. (but admittedly I am sorta giggling just typing that)

Just sayin'. And maybe some people don't know. But they should!

While all opinions are welcome and I certainly don't see anyone being made to feel as tho they are bad for their opinion(even tho the religion, religious practices, etc have no place here and will only cause arguments regardless of whose right or wrong.. that IMO is why it simply has no place here) ..but opinions regarding suspicion of the parents is welcomed up to a point being that this forum above all is a victim friendly forum and the parents absolutely are considered victims UNTIL LE NAMES THEM POI/SUSPECT.. EVEN THO ARE TECHNICALLY NOT CLEARED IS IRRELEVANT AS THE TOS RULE IS THAT THEY MUST BE NAMED A POI/SUSPECT IN ORDER TO THEORIZE OF THEIR HAVING ANY INVOLVEMENT IN THEIR DAUGHTERS DISAPPEARANCE..

Believe me there are other cases where I absolutely believe atleast one of the parents at minimum is giving extremely misleading info to the public and IMO even more but due to the TOS I am unable to discuss either parent to have been in any way involved..

So IMO while all opinions are welcome there is a definite line that at this point cannot be crossed as far as negative opinions and theories regarding isa's parents and that's per the rules of TOS..
