If I remember correctly, they have THREE dogs.
Not to beat a dead horse, but I always tucked my children in at 6 years of age. I do not judge anyone who does not, but I wanted to be sure they were covered properly and said their prayers. The 'Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep' was our standard childrens' prayer.
IDK, but it did strike me as odd that no one routinely tucked little Isa into bed as she is so young. Mom and Dad are wearing crucifixes, but did not teach their children bedtime prayers? Little Isa would have had her First Communion not long ago. These parents seem to be religious.
I really, really hope and pray no one in the family harmed little Isa, but I cannot be sure of that yet. I feel that if the family is truly innocent, they at least suspect someone they know. The uncle/cousin is really hinky, IMO. The parents may be telling the truth, but they are not telling the whole truth, IMO.
May today be the day little Isa is located!
MOO

If the uncle/cousin has a picture of Isa on his POF profile pic, I find that very disturbing. Isa is not his child which leads me to speculate whether he told his POF women that she was his.
I haven't seen his profile but commenting based on what has been posted here.
Wearing rosary beads is cultural, it's not necessarily wrong. Yes, you don't wear them if you're praying them, but to carry them around the neck isn't wrong.
When Catholics are lapsed or not especially devout (as RC said on her FB before this happened), we still retain many outward signs even if we don't fully believe or practice. I still have blessed palms, holy water, blessed rosaries, icons, statues, etc, even though I'm lapsed. I still wear a crucifix on occasion as well.
Sacramentals (physical items used to help pray, etc) are a help. Like memorized prayers, they can help as something to fall back on when faith is lagging. :twocents:
Pretty sure he labelled that pic as "me and my niece". Lemme see if I can find the link and double check.
Eta- yes, it's labelled "my niece and I in Arizona". It's not his main profile pic, it's one of four he has uploaded.
A German Shepherd? Whoa. Mine doesn't miss any strange noises inside or outside. He alerts me each time a walnut drops off my tree and hits the sidewalk. (I wished I was kidding.)JVM said some were inside and some outside. They showed one dog at the door. It looked like a German Shepherd to me but others can correct me if I'm wrong. As far as I know that's never been confirmed by LE. However, the neighbour said the dogs were outside and she would see the Celis family members bringing them food. I have no idea how many dogs they own.
The dogs not barking wouldn't really raise suspicion for me because we've seen cases where the dogs didn't bark and it was a stranger abduction but add the alleged broken camera and my hinky meter is sky high.
It leaves me to suspect someone who knew this family. Someone who had been there before. Someone who would have known the surveillance camera was non functional.
Some perps are brazen and do enter the home through open windows or unlocked doors but to go with the theory that this perp took that risk with dogs outside and/or inside with a surveillance camera on the roof just doesn't jive for me.
The ladder bothers me a lot also. To think this perp was so lucky to have a ladder right there, alleged open window, dogs inside and/or outside, an alleged non functional surveillance camera pointing up to the sky......wow. Like I said last night, this was his lucky day.
Personally, I've never seen a Catholic person wearing rosary beads around their neck like it was a piece of jewelry. The first time I saw this was when Casey Anthony wore it and my reaction what? Is that a new fashion thing?
Yes gold chains with a crucifix and so on but rosary beads? Never until CA and this case.
(BTW - I'm not saying it's wrong or right or whether I consider a person guilty or not).
Scapulars, crosses, and medals with the Saints are necklaces. Prayer tools like rosary beads and prayer ropes with knots are supposed to be kept at one's fingertips (pocket or belt) for use in praying.Personally, I've never seen a Catholic person wearing rosary beads around their neck like it was a piece of jewelry.
