RBBM. Good discussion points to bring up.

First bolded: I agree with you that anyone associated with and including the family would benefit by staging the window screen. I, at this moment, have chosen to take the father at his word that at first he thought that was the entry point but now is not sure. If he had been the one to stage it I think the odds are that he wouldn't have addressed the matter at all ~ but am not stuck on this position.

Second bolded: The mom, Becky, works in or specializes in pediatric emergency room care, right? That makes me conclude the family is very aware of RSOs, the up front exposure their victims suffer and would be even more vigilant about their home addresses in relationship to their own home than the average person.

This is true. However there is a level 3 SO just a few doors down. I wonder if he would benefit by staging the window. He could have stalked her and the family without them knowing. He could have crept around that house many times in the guise of walking his dogs (just an example) to get an idea of their home layout. He would easily be able to get an idea about their comings and goings being so close. Isa is a pretty girl and she stands out. I would think that coupled with her "girly-girl" personality would have attracted attention. The only thing is, I don't think his charges involved a minor.

Other than that, uncle/cousin is sure looking likely as to the window staging though.

Which relative used to live in the house before the family, or did I imagine that?

FWIW...Terri Horman had a charge of driving drunk with a child in car...and it was made a HUGE deal of here at WS...

:seeya: "Chiming in" here ... and I will try to make a "comparison", fwiw ...

Yes, Terrie's drunk driving charge with a child in the car was all over the MSM News -- in addition to many other "things" about Terrie that were in the MSM News... It was also reported that she failed 2 poly's, IIRC reported by Kaine and Desiree and LE never retracted that she failed the poly's ...

With respect to this case, have these "driving charges" been reported in the MSM News ?

And as of this date, LE has NOT released whether or not the parents "passed" or "failed" a poly ...

JMO ... but how the MSM News covers a case and what LE makes public seems to have an influence as to what is discussed and what is not discussed ...

I just can't accept a stranger. I keep thinking drugged (and I have NO idea why) and I keep thinking that Isabel was getting to the age where she could communicate clearly thangs that 6 year olds shouldn't know about. Moo

I have only heard of the businesses having surveilance cameras. I haven't heard anyone (residents) on 12th Street or behind Isa's house that would have captured the alleyway. Has anyone else? If they didn't, that would be a direction of camera's to check out. I see why they said they were still trying to look at and acquire more video.

How did they buy their home with 3592 sq feet when their previous home was almost foreclosed a year before this purchase? Their previous home was listed on the foreclosed homes' list for Tucson.

After the real estate market crashed in 2008, if you don't have perfect credit it is difficult to get a mortgage. If you have a poor credit rating, you are required to pay a sizable cash down payment. The price of their home was $246,000.

A 20% down payment = $49,200 cash down payment. Dayummmmmmm. Where did they get this huge sum of cash when they bank almost took their last home (only a year earlier) and foreclosed on it for non-payment?

The average salary for an RN in Tucson is about $59,000. Sergio is an unlicensed technician in an oral surgeon's office.

It depends on the type of loan: fha vs conventional. Fha only requires a 3% down payment. Plus, you can have someone with better credit (family member) cosign on the loan.

Going back to Uncle Cousin. Isn't it odd that he was self designated family spokesman and then seems to have completely vanished off the face of the earth. This is the man that adores this child (as I am sure other relatives do) - he was there first thing, he spoke to media and then nothing. Odd or I am totally suffering tunnel vision because I have my suspicions?

:seeya:

BBM: JMO but it is MORE than "odd" ... and it is NOT a "coincidence" IMO ...

I still want to know IF -- A BIG IF here -- the "neighbor" knows him ... I still find it very ODD that he was there "knocking on her door" the morning Isabel "disappeared" ...

And this was reported by the "neighbor" herself on the Nancy Grace Show ...

The really curious thing for me about this case is that the police had a search warrant to remove items from their car that doesn't run. They removed a pillow and sheets or blankets. What do they think happened it the car??

Actually, one of the curious/strange things about this case.

Family may have banished uncle/cousin to the background...I am sure word of some people's reaction to him got around...JMO

Especially sense they seem to have awareness of public scrutiny and opinions. I think others may be reading and reporting back to them.

Yep. Maybe that's why he's seemed to have disappeared. Step/half/uncle/cousin brought a lot of baggage with himself. Posters have wondered if the family might not have appreciated that he asserted himself as the family spokesperson, right? But his interview (or cameo appearance) was certainly short lived! His on camera moment seemed to have exposed his innate personality and initiated a lot of investigation and questions into his past life style that were not beneficial in helping find Isa.

I hope that is the only reason he seems to have disappeared but wonder if there might not be more to it. :dunno:

IIRC, the family was not too keen on his self-appointed family spokesman status (where was this stated? can someone help direct me to the post or source?). Perhaps, they gave him a 'what for' and he "stepped down" to appease the family? MOO

The very VERY first time I read about her missing and his statement, I thought, 'wow, this guy is really stepping himself into this and there is something not right.'. Like the criminal that is helping in the search for the person they are responsible for missing. He seemed too outspoken and talkative to me. I got all kinds of backlash for saying that and you know, I could be wrong. But the fact this guy is now 'Poof' gone, is weird. Maybe he thought putting himself out there would keep the focus on others but he's sadly mistaken. And the fact he has pictures of her on his FB page??? Does he have pics of Isa's two brothers as well? No,no, no, something is up with this.

True, but didn't they say something in the interview today about money and NEVER asking family for financial help? I remember it kind of struck me as odd at the time I heard it.

They may be very aware, or they may not. But her profession definitely doesn't mean anything either way.

I know several cops, EMT's, Pediatric Nurses AND Doctors who drive with their babies on their laps and/or don't put them in car seats.
My children have always been restrained in the car better than 90% of the children of doctors, nurses, cops or EMT's that I've met.

My children are even better restrained in the car than my daughter's Neurosurgeon's kids. He asks ME for advice!
He is the one who has to see the children who are internally decapitated from being forward facing too soon. :please:

I am 150% aware of many dangers to my children and I am just a stay at home Mom. Didn't even go to college.

Just because someone should be more aware of a particular hazard, doesn't mean they will be. :twocents:

I never saw the news interview with JM, anyone have a link handy?

I think a reporter called him the family spokesman. In the clip I saw Uncle Cousin didn't say anything about being the family spokesman.

I haven't watched the interview (remember seeing the link, but can't find it now). In that case, I'm not sure. Depends on their definition of financial help - e.g. receiving money or in my example cosigning. Good point.

Yes! Thank you. Here I am. Good son, bad marriage, bad credit. We now carry the mortgage on his new (to him) home.

And this is only one of many explanations ~ they could have also come into an inheritance or picked up extra jobs (don't think so, really) or just turned over a house they owed more on than what it was worth.

My friend just went through one of those inverse/upside-down mortgage thinggies, came out clean, no damage to their credit, bought a house well within their means and haven't had anyone come and kidnap anyone in their family. They're disgustingly happy, as a matter of fact.

All this to explain that the Celis home mortgage is probably unrelated to their daughter's disappearance. It it such a small thing compared to a child.
