Im finding 2 things of interest in this one article

http://azstarnet.com/news/local/cri...dcc-51a5-8c81-63e4b2dcdb09.html#ixzz1uQZgEjgm

The first, about taking things out of the 911 call, why? Was there yelling at the boys? during the call. Maybe something like that.?

The second, viewing hours of surveillance around the Celis home, have the 2 older boys been drilled about what to say? and maybe they shared something at school?
I agree this is NOT good!
Sorry if thats been discussed already, Ive been absent here since the Bain case.

At the news conference, the SGT explained that the 911 call needed to be redacted. All names, addresses removed.

Then the SGT explained that TPD asked for the whole "server" on the Church video that was first presented as taken on 4/21 the night/morning ISA went missing. This means many days of video must be reviewed by LE, instead of a 12 hour period.

Here goes WS again :(

Just got home and catching up. Can't really say I'm surprised. I don't think this has anything to do with a breakdown of some sort because 1. I don't think LE would be releasing this info and 2. A no contact order is extreme. I think if it was a breakdown and one parent was currently in a hospital getting help LE would just address it in a presser if anyone caught wind of it. Unfortunately, if a parent was involved, it doesn't look too good for poor Isabel. But I am glad to see that LE has some real information and is getting stuff done.

Was there a press conference today? and if so, was any of this mentioned by LE?

No, there was a PC yesterday, and the next scheduled Monday.
No, there was no mention of any of this yesterday.

You guys are right, only kvoa is on the no contact thing...they usually are first with stuff, don't know of any stunning inaccuracies from that but always a first time...

OMG, thank you! I thought my computer was haunted.

~sigh~ Really not the best time for WS to act up again... :(

Those other stations are lazy...this is pretty big news, in fact the most news this case has had to date, IMO...

Could well be (see my post upthread about Tucson news reporting on the weekends.... LOL). It could also be that KVOA jumped the gun and is not entirely accurate.

Stranger things have happened. A la Gabby Giffords shooting.

I think that if this latest news about the CPS has anything to do with Isa's disappearance it is a freaking shame it took them so long. I have to think it is a development with either parent, but it has nothing to do with Isa being taken. I am praying so at least. jmo

Lazy or responsible? IDK
Hasty? or methodical? IDK
AZ Star just updated and made no mention of "no contact."

That would be a SERIOUS thing to get wrong...

I think it is very unlikely it would have nothing to do with Isabel being gone...JMO

Thanks Cluciano for posting in the Sierra thread about activity over here. I really really hate to do this (and those that know me know I hardly ever do), but can someone recap what the activity is?

  • #934
Perhaps what is going on is that one parent has been coercing, and perhaps even threatening, the boys about telling what they may have seen/ what they know. And perhaps they cracked and told someone, and the no contact order is to allow them to open up about what they know without the fear of retaliation. MOO.

I also agree with everyone who stated that this is calculated on the part of LE and a big development. A suicidal parent would not cause a public announcment or this action.

On the other hand, at least me and you are surrounded by 99% beautiful, caring, wonderful females on the forum! :)

LOL yea there is always that!

Pax,
You are such a good logical, analytical thinker! It surprises me that a line was even drawn, designating male or female. Lol, sorry I didn't even think of your gender when I delighted in reading all of your posts.
I am sad that either parent appears to be under suspicion here ~ never mind if it's the mother or father!
My only other two experiences here at WS are with the Anthony saga and the Baby Lisa case. Neither of those cases seem to reflect a rush to accuse a male figure. Just the opposite, as a matter of fact.
I don't think we'll have to wait very much longer, now, to find out who LE has in their sights, do you?

Youre right I get butt hurt and sensitive when people pick on men all the time but I am better than that and shouldnt let my emotions get the best of me, what matters most here is where that poor little girl is and what happened to her.

I do agree one way or another it appears we are on the verge of a major case break here, I would suggest tomorrow as there is NO WAY they can keep under wraps very long which parent has the kids, that wont be a secret by tomorrow morning.

Yes it would be serious to you and I, but to the rest of the world? IDK

I just have to ask...
Why would TPD tell only one station that one very damning detail
(by the response on this thread) of "no contact", after all this time not giving any details

So now what do we think about LE having released their statement that CPS has had a stepped up involvement?

Did they release that because they knew this would be breaking news or did they break the news so that the media would investigate?

I guess the difference would be that they (LE) could be either in the position of attempting to add or decrease pressure on the parents.

I agree, one would think so, but why has this taken so long. Have the children only been in danger a short time, or has there only been an issue with one of the parents a short time. Just trying to make sense of it. jmo

Thanks Cluciano for posting in the Sierra thread about activity over here. I really really hate to do this (and those that know me know I hardly ever do), but can someone recap what the activity is?

Quick recap:
Tucson Police Department called Child Protective Services after detectives became aware of information regarding the welfare of the older Celis children. Yesterday, CPS instituted certain measures to ensure the continued welfare of the Celis children which included a no contact order for one of the parents and the kids only living with one parent.

LE has announced apparently, that the Celis children are only with one parent, who are not together, and one station is reporting that the other parent is not allowed ANY contact with the children...
