I hope you really DO report anything you hear or see. I hate to sound like a broken record, but it is not up to you or the school to "investigate" or try to determine the veracity of the claims, you are just supposed to pick up a phone and make a call.

My daughter told her school nurse, school principal, school vice principal, two teachers, her guidance counselor and a PSYCHIATRIST that she had been molested daily for two years and all of them called me to "investigate" instead of reporting. I confirmed that I had just learned of it, and they asked if I wanted them to call and I said YES. I wanted there to be lots of witnesses to her revelation. It was not until we complained to police and charges were filed that I learned I was the ONLY person to report it. I even wrote to the medical board about the shrink and they wrote back to say they weren't getting involved.

I'm so sorry you and your daughter had to go through that nightmare. It was drilled into me to report any suspicions of abuse no questions asked. I have called before and it was dealt with properly.

Are there LE pressers scheduled for the coming week? Seems like the media will have a multitude of questions following recent developments regarding CPS involvement. I suspect that any answers will be strategically-worded

Maybe they seem distant because they are afraid to say anything.
It sure seems like they are hiding something!

I do not think they passed their poly's! and i think this is why they took them seperately into the home and questioned them.

then they can go back and compare that interview with the polys!

Is the purpose of taking them each back to the home, individually, to be interviewed to help them recall things more easily being in the environment?

I mean that seems logical to me I suppose, but why the media show accompanied with it? Couldn't they have just as easily interviewed them separately at the police station if they needed/wanted to?

What was the purpose of going back to the home the way they did and the item brought out from the trunk???

I would imagine they are in the hotel still. I think some posters here were kicking around the idea that SC would be staying at his mom's. And I don't think either RC or SC has returned to their home.

And didn't Becky say she had no family in Tucson? Actually, I don't know where that came from, but maybe someone here will know unless I am just senile.

I wonder about this too. Covering something in a towel? Just seemed strange to me. I thought maybe they did not expect the media to be there-but how could they not have known???

I think the confusion comes with Exactly WHO you are mandated to report the abuse to. I was a classified school employee, in the public schools. I worked in the office and the health office and on the playground. So I had a lot of close contact and heard and saw a lot of stuff that concerned me. But I was mandated to report any evidence of abuse or neglect to my superiors. Specifically the principal. We had one case of a set of twins being raised by their single father, and they were always hungry and dirty and disheveled when they came to school. They were under weight and very skittish. The girl had lots of bruises and bug bites. But all of us reported our concerns to the principal, and only she reported them to the authorities.

I believe because they each have placed the item in a different place!
They reenacted that morning with both of them...
I think they requested the media there wishing the mom and dad would say something. Remember le was wanting them to talk!

I was being silly of course, I think the person who posted he may be gay and a pedophile simply meant exactly that, it is possible he could be gay, there is some evidence for it in his behavior I suppose AND a pedophile at the same time. I dont think this means that all gay men are pedophiles, one would have to be living under a rock to draw such a silly conclusion about an entire group of people.

I posted that info pretty early on in these threads and was told by another poster or maybe a mod that her statement wasn't reliable and should not be considered. Even though she was the IO.

I never exactly understood why that couldn't be considered a statement by LE. MOO
