Good Morning! I hope today is the day Isabel can come home!
Regarding this new news that CPS has been involved with the family before, don't be so quick to think it wasn't something of a sexual nature because CPS didn't do anything. CPS makes mistakes, and it isn't exactly rare. I did a lot of research about CPS/DCF (In Florida) a few years ago and it was really sickening how many children went back to abusive homes, and how many were never removed to begin with. At the time FL DCF had just implemented a new "goal" to have a 50/50 reunification rate. At the time this happened a case I was involved with that was on an "adoption" track all of a sudden, for no reason, went back to a "reunification" track. We have to remember that these are government agencies...they work on percentages, statistics, budgets, what they can put in reports that make them look good, etc.
And of course, just recently in the Bain case there was a sexual allegation that was somehow investigated and nothing was done, and now there is a dead mom and child, and two more child who were victimized.
Point is, the "well obviously it wasn't sexual or they would have been taken" isn't really true.
It is so sad that this family, in the very beginning, looked like your typical American family, I thought it HAD to be a stranger abduction. But as information trickles out I think the family, well someone in the family, looks guiltier and guiltier. This does not bode well for Isabel.
