I still have a hard time believing Sergio is an abuser. He is 41 years old and there is nothing in his criminal background showing he is violent. In fact other than the dog issue it seems to be all traffic offenses.

But passions can rise high in some families sometimes.

Could he and Becky have gotten in a heated arguement in December and he threatened to leave and take the kids with him?

IMO

No idea what this is. Anybody?? Also, why does it say Bail? I know it's traffic related.

Looks like the case was filed on 6/2 for a traffic citation, he was given a bail bond and he got one phone call to call someone on 6/14?

Is he in charge of the investigation or just the department spokesperson?

Good point and nice catch! I was confusing him with Manuel Pacheco, who used to be head of the UA. My brain slipped and was telling me he's head of the investigation. Sorry! But my point still stands if the police overall have ignored this earlier/recent CPS involvement.

Let me start of by saying - I am not 100% caught up on this case, but...

Maybe someone who believes SC had something to do w/ her dissapearance can tell us WHAT FACTS lead them to believe this?

Consider this - my grandfather abused AT LEAST 4 of his family members that we know of, including me. By the time I was able mentally to tell what had happened to me the statue of limitations had run out. None of the other family members reported him, so NO RECORD. SO now an almost 80 year old man who *I KNOW* has abused has NO RECORD.

I'm just saying...and I do not have an opinion on SC involvement.

SC's date of birth is in December? Not that it matters, but it is interesting given the new information about the previous CPS visit.

According to unconfirmed sources, A cousin or uncle lived with the family for part of 2011. 2011 ended (obviously) in December. CPS was in contact with the family in December.

If the family had decided to allow the cousin or uncle, who may or may not be JM, to use Isabel's room while getting settled in the area, this would explain the (similarly unconfirmed) assertion that Isabel slept in the boys' room. Perhaps in a sleeping bag or bedroll, on a cot, or in a pup tent. We do not know for sure that she shared a BED with either boy. It is possible that the oldest of the sons was venting to his friends about having to share his room with the "babies" including his sister, and how he had no privacy. CPS would NOT approve of this sleeping arrangement, and this COULD POSSIBLY have been the end of the line for the houseguest, as Isabel had to return to her own room. It would not necessarily mean anything inappropriate happened to Isabel or the boys, but that CPS has certain guidelines about opposite gendered children sharing sleeping space.

Where did you read/hear about unconfirmed sources indicating the cousin lived with the Celis'?

I see nothing abnormal about showering at six. Kids get dirty and sweaty, and IMO bathing is just sitting in your own dirty water :) when mine were babies and needed me to bathe them, I bathed them in the bathtub, but as soon as they could wash their hair well and clean themselves alone, they switched to showers, probably age 4 and a half ish.

Yeah, I started showering around 5 or 6. We had something that fit over the showerhead shaped like an elephant (the water came out the trunk) which made it lower and also had some sort of temp regulation in it so I couldn't accidentally burn myself. Made it much easier to clean off than baths.

Here in my state if you are arrested for a DUI you are locked up until you can make bond and if it happens on a weekend they will keep you until Monday morning before you go before a Judge to set bond.

I know this because a person my hubby works with got a DUI on a Friday and we couldnt bond them out until Monday morning. First and only time I have ever been to our local jail. :) And he and his wife had just gotten married that same Friday. lol

Dont know how it works in AZ though.

This article was on the local newspaper's website this morning. I hope I am doing this correctly.

"CPS visited Isabel's house in December"

http://azstarnet.com/news/local/cri...cle_8a0e22a3-f9a3-5df6-a4f1-163f280fad8f.html

:seeya: Thank You for this update !

snippets from the above link :

Officials with CPS and the Tucson Police Department recently said the child-welfare agency had been involved in the case since Isabel was reported missing on April 21. But Wednesday morning, Pacheco said investigators were aware CPS had made contact with the family much earlier.

...

Isabel's disappearance has drawn international attention and more than 1,000 tips, although no suspects have been identified. Police have also not ruled out Isabel's parents, Sergio and Becky Celis, as suspects.

BBM: Whoa ...

:moo:

I was absued in my childhood from the age of 5 until almost 16 and I never told anyone until I was 38 years old. BUT CPS had never been to our home.

If they had it wouldnt have taken them long to know something wasnt right and red flags would have been falling everywhere. I was very timid, shy, withdrawn, extremely nervous around my abuser, fearful, and sickly. And if I never told them anything all they would have had to do is have a physical exam done and that is all they would have needed.

But if you look at the date of these charges, they are different from the DUI/Drug charge. It's years after.

Could it have been a phone call with his lawyer?
