How popular are bomb shelters? :waitasec:

Prof,
I found the closer picture of the meter, or whatever it is.

Thanks.
That's electric meter on the house. The news report said gas meter by exterior wall/fence.

I'm still not caught up, but see a lot of references to 'blood' being found.

Are these all presumptive tests for blood? Because something tests presumptively positive for blood does not mean it is blood. They have to do a confirmatory test. Many other substances can test presumptively positive such as organic matter, bleach, etc. - in other words a false positive.

Thanks for that reminder, because bleach IMO is quite a common substance to find on a shower curtain. My showers have doors, not curtains, but I do clean them with bleach.
I was weirded out about the curtain being in the car, but several posters offered plausible scenarios for that, so I am past it now.

Yes and sometimes footprints can be as good as a fingerprint especially if the sole has a unique design. That is one of the things that got Scott Dyleski convicted in Pam Vatale's murder. He had a unique shoeprint and the print was found in her home.

Shoe experts have become so good they can tell by the wear on the sole approximately how much someone weighs and the gaite of their walk when they put more pressure on one part of the sole than in other areas.

IMO

Coincidentally I watched one of those real-life crime shows on TV the other day where a man had murdered someone, and he had purchased a size 12 shoe to wear while committing the murder (he actually only wore a size 9) to try to divert the attention away from himself! Unfortunately for him, he had purchased them at the same time as a baseball bat which turned out to be the weapon!

In order to make it easier to jump over a wall or easier for them to see into the windows when casing the place out? Yes, I think so.

IMO

If the picture that Patty posted is of the meter in question, I don't see how standing on that would help them jump over a wall or even case the place out. Am I missing something? Was the footprint on a meter next to the wall?

ETA: I see now that someone posted the gas meter was next to the exterior wall...which makes sense if there was an abductor.

I did see Anita's pic of the box in alleyway, and now we have your pic of the gas meter on the garage size of the house, and my pic of the meter on Isa's side of the house.

Phew ... lots of work! :)

Good job!...lol

That was very interesting how they found him...even though he paid cash for the stuff at the Nike sports store (murder weapon being a bat), they traced his credit card activity to a place that was right near the Nike store...and the Nike store was able to pull up their records that a cash purchase for the bat right after his credit card activity in the same area.

Note to all murders: use cash for everything

Good job!...lol

The search icon is my friend. This is why I love links to stuff as it makes life so much easier when looking for something. Also, it helps if the "tags" have stuff in it also.

Granted I have not read every word of the docs, but I am not seeing much that suggests to me that Sergio is being implicated in anyway, although I am also smart enough to know this whole doc dump could be a red herring to get their main POI to relax a little and that the docs surely do not contain everything.

I also think the doc dump means they are either very close to an arrest and are "showing their efforts" so that they cannot be accused of focusing in only one direction and can show they looked at all leads, OR it is about to go cold.

I guess this is my reasoning:

- Any footprints or fingerprints can be either a family member or stranger.

- Any potential evidence found in the car could have been put there either by stranger or family member (Although, if there is any real evidence in the car I'm leaning towards family).

- Blood in the Celis house could be either stranger or family.

- Blood in another residence could be a neighbor, or the grandparents house.

The biggest thing to me that makes SC suspicious from these documents is that he didn't actually go to his bedroom until 5am. Of course that act alone isn't suspicious, but just that it happened the night Isabel went missing. Either it is true, or it is a convenient alibi for why he wasn't in bed until 5am.

Would someone stand on it to go up to the roof and let's say.....ummm move a surveillance camera?

IMO, if someone attempted to stand on the electrical meter or the breaker box, it would probably crumble from their weight.

I agree unless it was a child. So why would there be footprints on it?

I saw that too, Makayla!

Thank goodness that a lot of criminals are dumb ...however (sigh) not all are.

actually, their becoming popular again.

There is a reality TV show on (forget the name) and it's about this business that is thriving producing underground shelters for those that believe in either the upcoming December 2012 end of the world or society going bad and surviving on your own.

Their called 'preppers'. They stock food, ammmo, guns, etc in these new bunkers to survive on and defend if something happens.

WOW!! I missed a whole lot. Is there a list of that was in these doc or are they just in bits and pieces here and there out here and in the news??
