i'm among those who don't want to belabor the "dog" issue, but kids do the darnedest things sometimes :d in our previous home, a previous pet (beagle) with true hunting instincts used to "escape" through an open door faster than a jack rabbit. He'd come home eventually but was sometimes gone for hours at a time. On a few occasions, neighbors would call to say that they had max, and when kids brought him back, i would give them quarters for their efforts.

The same two boys returned max a few times, and one day i caught them letting our dog off his backyard leash! Needless to say, i began to suspect that this was the case more often than not, and i let them know that i was onto their game and that there would be no more quarters for returning max :couch:

lol...

Was coming to post this. Attached are the pics of her street from Van Buren.

Hmmm...Van Buren is a block over from her house...this is the other end of the alley that does run behind her house. This shows a fence just like the one on the side of her house, but this is not her house.

Tucson News Live will be streaming the 10:00am Live News Conference. At 1:00 pm Eastern Time.

Also, Isabel's Street is still blocked by Police Cars on either end. Reporter said they are checking ID's on all drivers.

Yes, PattyG was asking where a picture was taken from. It was taken from the opposite end of Isabel's Street. That's the reason for that pic. It is not Isabel's house.

The media photo was taken at the opposite end of the alley from Isabel's house. Her house is not in the picture.
It intersects at the 150 block of S. Van Buren St. In the street view you can see the tree, it is smaller and brown at the top but it is there.

Here is the Google map street view.

I know I am being a "pain in the arse", but in the media photo, the tree is very mature, of which, takes time to reach that height (unless they planted a very mature tree).

In the media photo there are two high rise building in the back ground. The houses with the white fence side look so different from the media photo.

The white fence line in media photo is closer to the street then in the "google map" photo.

Maybe "google street view" is very old ...

Does anyone have a link to the uncle Justin's interview?

In the photo, there appears to be hinges, of which, could very well be a door on the fence leading to the backyard.

Photo taken off google map "street view".

I dont know the building codes in AZ but here where I live if a fence is erected it must have an entrance/exit access both on the front and either on the back of the fence or a gate that leads in/out of the back property area which can be along the side.

I saw this photo last night and I can see the black gate hinges on the left and right. It is made of the same wood as the fence is on that side. It looks to be about an 8-10 foot gate and is close to the far back side corner of their property.

Is anyone having problems with the site today. Or is it just my computer?

imo

That is exactly what I heard this morning on CNN. Seems that all reporting needs to be the same. Who do you trust for factual info? jmo

The media often gets important details totally wrong. We've seen it time and again.
Some of these news outlets are amateurish at best.

Still confused (as I am OLD). There is no light pole in the media photo, but it is in the "google street view". There is a big tree in the media photo, but not in the "google street view".

The taped off alley pic does not show the Celis house. The taped off alley pic shows the other end of the alley, looking down the alley at the other end of the block. The Celis house (not pictured in the taped off alley pic) is down the alley one block to where their street essentially ends, if that makes sense to you.

I heard it on CNN so that might explain it. jmo

Re the gates at Isa's home...there's most likely another gate at the left of the driveway, and it leads to the front of the home. Just common sense and convenience, but also, looking at the layout from the front view, you can see what looks like a stucco archway that probably holds the front gate.

There *may* be a gate on the front rite side of the fence as well (couldn't go back and look at the pix now). Strictly speaking about convenience.

The double gate in the back was already discussed...

Just catching up on this thread. I am praying for this beautiful little girl. Appreciate all the info I was able to find in here. I really wish they were not being so tight lipped. I hate that they are searching the landfill. I don't like that I have not seen the parents and they have not spoken out yet. It's awful, but we'd be able to better judge who we are dealing with here. I don't like hearing that dogs hit on something in the house either. With such little info released, I have not formed an opinion if it's a real abduction, an accident cover up or straight up murder. It sounds like everyone who knows the family and the little girl have nothing but nice things to say about them. The fact that she was involved in softball and so well groomed/clothed/hair done in all of her pictures that they were living a healthy lifestyle and she was well taken care of. I just don't know. I sure pray, several times a day, for a happy ending.

Thank you and I understand that the Celis house is not shown. Just trying to match up a "google street view" of the media photo with the yellow tape.

I put a side by side in post #525

They may provide extra protection to the family if they return home. It is something they are considering.

Hmm. What other cases have we seen this in? I can't think of any off the top of my head.. except those cases like C. Anthony, where LE was afraid that a vigilante citizen would revenge Caylee's death.

I think the fact that LE is going to provide the family protection speaks volumes that the LE and FBI doesn't think that mom or dad are involved. But, it still begs the question, what or who do they need to be protected from?

:peace:

In reference to photos, looks to me like one of the tree has been cut back/down in between the time frames. Said tree could be covering up the hi rise...pics are also not taken from same angle, one looks straight down the alley, older one taken at more of an angle.

Older pic could have been taken before hi rise at end of alley was built but doubt that as think said buildings are at least 10 years old and closer to 15 or 20

I am in AZ and I cannot stop thinking about this girl. This is my absolute worst nightmare as a parent, waking up and having one of my kids gone. I worry every night for their safety. I am not thinking the family was involved since they all live together. They are also not illegals, both parents have good jobs. Who in the heck took her?

Don't know if this has been discussed but on Tucson News Live the reporter said that the trash at Isabel's street was picked up on Saturday morning. That's why they are searching the landfill.
