HLN - They are searching a landfill at the moment.

And it is miserably hot here. Such awesome people to go hunting in that place in this heat.

“All the ambition in the world. She could do whatever she wanted. Didn’t really like strangers or anything like that so very close knitted and just very wise,” said Mastromarino."

Quote from the Uncle, JM that was in the video posted above by Janeumayer.

Again, "wise" and "ambition" aren't typically words associated with a 6 year old and also of note: he speaks of her in the past tense.

I get the impression that the uncle doesn't live here fulltime. He appears to have residential ties to the FL Keys. As does his brother and what appears to be his sister. Although there is a pic of his vehicle in front of Isabel's house. No plates visible, but it's black. A rare find in Tucson (due to the heat...). :-)

He also has a pic that he captions as a view of a local mountain from "the front yard." I assume it is the front yard of where he lives.

Ok, I am admitting to being a "looky loo".

I drove out past Los Reales land fill and also the crime scene. I had some shopping to do at the Office Max (across from the Celis home) and the Party City. I also stopped and spoke with some of the volunteers manning a "Find Isabel" booth. The media satellite trucks and police vehicles obstruct the view from Craycroft/Broadway of 12th street. Police crime scene tape blocks off the parking lots (and back lots) of these stores and 12th street.

Edited to add: If you have any questions about my observations, I don't mind answering them. Also, I noticed that HLN showed a helio-view of the home and back yard. Did anyone catch a glimpse of the gate?

I will likely be in that area tomorrow too...Savers is having a great sale....buy something, get 50% off. See what the scene looks like.

LE is meeting with the County Attorney? I guess this could mean that they want to bring him up speed on the case or confer about a legal question/issue, but Yikes! That's not where my mind went initially.

My hubby doesn't have a facebook page. The only reason I have one is to keep in touch with family and to post pictures of my 1st Grandson. Yep, I'ma PROUD GMA as of 02/29/12!!! Sorry for the OT, lol.:woohoo:

OT Congratulations on your Grandson!!!!!!!

my hubby does not have a FB. I have pics of him on mine though. I have no clue what PNC means.

Is it normal for FBI to be involved so quickly?

Same here! I have FB and husband does not. However he is fine with me posting pics on my FB. He just doesn't want to be bothered, lol.

And GO GATORS.

Sorry for OT.

Does the East 12th Street area have issues with crime?

Uhm, besides the multiple past tense problem...this is not how most grown men would describe a six year old, IMO, IMO, IMO.

(A sixteen year old, maybe)

When Susan Powell first went missing, I debated whether or not to take my kids to the prayer vigils held for her as well. It's a tough decision..I think it largely depends on the ages (mine are very young, and were at the time as well, so I opted not to).

Does the East 12th Street area have issues with crime?

At the first press conference, a reporter asked the police chief if he would classify the area as a high crime area, and he said no..it was not a high crime area.

When I searched some crime maps for the past few months around the address, it looked to be a lot of property crime type stuff, but not much violent crime at all.

...And this is where it gets excruciating. No leads, no direction, a precious baby is vanished...and you just don't where to turn next. What do the family members do..how can you go to work, or the other children go to school....how can every moment of your existence not revolve around wanting to find your child/sister...forever?

I'm not looking for an answer to this...since there probably isn't one. Dear God.......

It is an older neighborhood, bordering on an urban area. There are a couple strip joints down the street (one which has had issues with drug and gang related murders) on 22nd and Craycroft. However, I think the area is being revitalized, with more upscale businesses being lured into the area.

It is not the most crime-ridden area of Tucson, but it's not the safest, either.

What is your gut telling you after seeing the area today?

I always thought the "tougher" area of 22nd and Craycroft was west of Craycroft, and south of 22nd on both sides up through to 29th. I guess I just assumed the area behind the church and mall were good. Though I never lived there (I did live in the Palo Verde high neighborhood and Midvale).

When my son was in highschool, we lived on the base at Davis Monthan. One of his friend's family lived on Celis' street, with her backyard against the small strip of businesses that face Broadway. My son had an outing with this girl and friends and at the end of the night, I picked him up at her home. I was a little nervous at first because the family seemed a little rough around the edges. (Though they turned out to be just fine.) The homes were all very old, ranch style on cement slabs and not very well kept up. There were empty lots at both corners on the West end of the street with trash and debris, I recall. The South West corner is where the Celis home is now.
