Was TPD asked about the dogs at one of the pressors? Specifically were the dogs in the home that night? If so, where do they usually sleep?

I will be over there in about 45 mins. My dad lives North of there and I get to fix his irrigation in the 98 degree temps. It's not a bad area in general, but has it's share of drug use, vandalism and the like.

Uncle just strikes me as a bit too ghetto-fab, if anyone knows what I mean. That includes his grammatical skills. His page has photos of Mt Lemmon and the view from Isabel's front yard (it appears). Doesn't mean he lives here, but am digging further on that.

Trying to decide if I should take my kiddos out there or not. :/

I always decide agaisnt it because of the "return to the scene of the crime " criminal profiles that for some reason I never ever forget.

Missing work.
cleaned the car
watches the crime scene
trys to get close to the family

There are also profile to predict a crime before you become a victim..:banghead:

I guess it would depend on the case and what kind of suspects being looked for as it isnt a rule I made they cant go.

The gangsta stuff generally stays south of 22d, the next main street to the south. THAT is a rough neighborhood. Isabel's neighborhood is solid working class, older houses generally (Isabel's being an exception) on big lots. To the immediate south is Wilshire, which is a more expensive neighborhood, also older houses but larger and a notch above. After the Wilshire area, goes back to numbered streets, a neighborhood similar to Isa's. Then 22nd st, south of that goes bad quick. The strip joints are largely outside the main gate to the air base.

As I went to lunch, a young man, looked to be a teenager, was handing out flyers wtih Isabel's pic on them from the traffic island on Craycroft, south of Bway. It is hotter than hell today and even hotter out there in the middle of traffic. Not to mention is illegal to hang out like that on the traffic island. He was not there an hour or so later when I returned. I understand the desire to do SOMETHING, anything but that's just dangerous, I think. Tucson drivers are not the most attentive as it is...

What is your gut telling you after seeing the area today?
There are so many ways a perp could stalk have stalked her, it is believable to me that she was taken by a non-family member. The way the buildings are set up, the low wall around the back of the Office Max/Circuit City/Party City complex, all of it is the perfect "blind" for a predator. Also, there is so much activity on that strip, with the restaurants, the bus stop, etc., that would distract from noticing a lone person on the street.

And, nothing against apartment dwellers or travelers, but there are several apartments along Craycroft and an hotel almost straight across Craycroft from the home. When you have a transient population nearby, you stop paying attention to who belongs there and who doesn't, imo.

When my son was in highschool, we lived on the base at Davis Monthan. One of his friend's family lived on Celis' street, with her backyard against the small strip of businesses that face Broadway. My son had an outing with this girl and friends and at the end of the night, I picked him up at her home. I was a little nervous at first because the family seemed a little rough around the edges. (Though they turned out to be just fine.) The homes were all very old, ranch style on cement slabs and not very well kept up. There were empty lots at both corners on the West end of the street with trash and debris, I recall. The South West corner is where the Celis home is now.

Oh okay. I will say there's a portion of 29th (if you turn on it from Wilmot and head west just west of the elementary school is what I mean) that always makes me nervous, and I think I associate the whole area between there and 22nd all the way to Swan as creepy because of it. But east of the elementary school? Lovely! Weird how that works. :p

Well, as I drove there (in the middle of the work day), with my freshly cleaned car, OGLING the crime scene (as best as I could) and talking to friends of the family, I *did* feel like one of the "volunteers" was profiling me. I'm sure she was an undercover cop. (And that's not JUST my paranoia talking!)

The hotel straight across Craycroft is a Marriott, its hardly a slum. Now the apartments next to the church are kind of sketchy, but the ones along Williams Blvd are gated and fairly pricey. This is not a tough part of town, I grew up in this area and it really hasn't changed that much. I played in that same park I am sure Isabel played in...its called Wilshire Heights...

Not saying that a perp couldn't have stalked her, obviously something happened. But if it happened here, it could happen dang near anywhere in Tucson and in quite a few other places in the USA...

I found that the uncle works at the same place as the mom.

I don't think the FB pic of the mountain I pointed out is taken from Isa's front yard as the mountain looks much closer to me in the uncle's pic.

Galiuro, I saw him, too. I thought the same thing! O/T P.s. I saw that you work at the Williams Ctr. We dine at the Blue Wasabi often, have you ever been?

Tucson has a pretty significant weather change forecast for Thursday...wind and RAIN...so I hope they've covered all of the outside tracks and smells....looks like any clues of that type will be gone by Friday.....

I stalked his fb, too, but didn't pay close attention to that particular picture. I will check it out. However, it would be difficult to get a good picture of a mountain from Celis' home, their across the street neighbor has a 2 story home and the mountain range (the Santa Catalina's) is miles away.

We will start a bail thread in the parking lot :-) not the jury room people might get the wrong idea if we did it there.

I'm sorry to have insulted you or to have painted an inaccurate picture.

My point about the hotel and the apartments (some of which I know are "executive apartments") is that when you live in a neighborhood where there is a transient population (meaning, they come and go, most people don't dwell in apts for many years), you stop paying so much attention to who belongs there and who doesn't. In my opinion. P.s. I do think areas of that neighborhood ARE lovely and we attended Mass at St. Joe's quite a few times when we first moved to town.

It's nice to know I can still count on old friends. ;)

I agree with those who are looking towards the abductor being someone who was not living in the home.

But I find it hard to swallow that a complete stranger, someone who did not have any knowledge of Isabel and her family did this. I think it's going to be someone from within the surrounding neighborhood.

I wonder if the little girl who played with Isa on Friday, was able to to tell that LEO anything helpful.

WSers (and other sleuths) need an invisible tattoo that can be scanned or viewed under a black lite. LOL. ;)
