They are probably trying to put pressure on the family to cooperate more and answer more questions than they have been willing to answer so far. Maybe they've caught them in a lie and want answers.

Parents are answering "some" of LE's questions.

Maybe all that means is they are giving whatever answers they can but they cannot answer all LE's questions because they don't have all the answers.

When the video was released, it was one of our WS posters who first alerted us to the creeper guy. She called a Tuscon detective who said he wasn't aware of the creeper guy and would let the other detectives know. Oopsy! Now we find out the video is from the wrong date. Double oopsy. It's like they couldn't screw it up more if they tried. There has to be more to this.

And watch this version of the surveillance video. About the half way mark, the video zooms in on the group so they are much more visible. Why didn't LE release this version instead of the less view-able one? They wanted to know who this group was, why not release the tape that shows them? They had a week to work on this. I don't like to LE bash, but someone didn't do their homework.

We know this video was vetted by the FBI. Something stinks!

I was shocked when I heard on HLN that the video was the wrong date. My reaction was this has got to be a joke. I agree with you. Something stinks. I'm not buying it. That lurker guy has them scrambling, imo and the latest news of the 3 young girls getting assaulted in their own home by a stranger sends chills down my spine. A very brazen sex offender is on the loose and they better catch him because he is ready to attack again, imo.

I am very depressed and discouraged right now.

What could they possibly ask them that they don't know the answer to? I sincerely doubt that is what LE is alluding to.

Mr. Moore is a professional who may have kept silent for what is in Isabels best interest as well as local LE and the FBI. *I do not believe in the "oops" we transcribed the dates by accident. Back to lurking :twocents:

. This is from a camera on the Church a few blocks from the Moore store.

That is very likely what it means but conspiracy theories are more fun you know...

OK, is it more likely LE is asking the parents questions that they refuse to answer? Not that they cannot answer, but that they won't answer?

Is LE still saying the parents are cooperating? Because, I do not consider refusal to answer questions as cooperation.

so when they said a company gave them the wrong video...why wouldn't they get it themselves or at least verify what was on the tape was what the officers that viewed it actually say...sigh.

They said they were answering some questions, not that they didn't know the answers to some questions. To me, that says they are refusing to answer some questions and that they are not fully cooperating.

There is something going on here. These parents are not acting like parents really concerned about getting their daughter back or getting answers. The one time they were on camera, they didn't seem genuinely upset. They won't make pleas for their daughter or for information. They do not act like they are not involved.

P.s. As of yesterday the "undrivable" red car was still in the Celis' driveway.

Isn't that what we do here - discuss different theories that other members may have? I don't have to agree with another posters theory for me to be able to provide information, that may or may not apply or that will help forward or disprove their theory. With so little factual information available I am stuck in a holding pattern of looking at every theory until each one can be conclusively disproved. JMO

I would encourage everyone who missed today's presser to watch it when it becomes available online. My take on the Lt. saying the parents are answering some of our questions was not that the parents are cherry-picking which questions they will and will not answer.

It's best to listen to the statement in its context between the reporters asking questions and the Lt. answering.

And yet TPD keeps saying REPEATEDLY that the family IS COOPERATING.

Cant have it both ways, it is VERY LIKELY that there are SOME QUESTIONS they do not have answers to therefore they answer the ones they can and dont the ones they cant leading to "The family is answering some of our questions." Followed by "The family continues to cooperate with us."

I felt the opposite when I saw their statement. I thought they were both breathless and emotional, pleading for whoever has her to send her home. I also saw fear on their faces as they looked around at the crowd and the cameras. I would be terrified; how do they know that the kidnapper isn't standing right there in front of them?

Since we've only seen them a couple times, it's hard to judge how they're acting or if they seem concerned about getting her back. I do know that what I've seen, they're not living their lives as if it's business as usual. What they're doing behind the scenes is a mystery to all of us!

Am I seriously hearing people suggest the family had her abducted on purpose to make money off it? Holy moly, I hope I am imagining that.

No PAXIMUS, not that so much. I'll delicately say that often we are baffled when we learn a victim's family made money from signing with a media outlet. It is what it is. And I hope this is not the case with Isa.

No it was...several posts back...a thought that they wanted money while she is safe with a relative. Not imagining things.
