Quote:
Detectives continue to work hard to find Isabel, but Pacheco said the “sensitive” nature of the investigation limits how much he can share with the public.
“Sometimes these things take a long, long time,” Pacheco said of solving cases of missing children, adding that he hopes that is not the case in the search for Isabel.
Pacheco also said he hopes Isabel’s family does more to reach out to the public.

Is that from today? No way! Because I read the exact same thing last Tuesday.

According to Jane/Issues, the mother and three girls are on their way back to Hawaii.

Me: (Interesting)
From JVM... neighbor of the incident where the 3 children were terrorized reports a suspect/peeping Tom... maybe 2 men working together like the 2 voices the neighbor of Isabel heard. :what:

As for any possible video from Friday night at the little league game, it seems possible, but not likely IMO simply for the fact that the game took place after sunset (aprox 7 pm sunset). It's difficult to take any long shots or even middle shots in a park in the dark. JMO

Also, the bashing on NG last night was too much to handle. I don't like the show but the idea that she and her producers flat-out make stuff up is, to me, beyond the pale.

This show gets big ratings, and as a result, LE no doubt responds to calls from them. I used to work in the media, and, yeah, things have deteriorated, but not to the point where they're making things up night after night, day after day.

SOmething to remember is reporters all have contacts. They have sources. Things are said off the record ALL THE TIME to reporters. Sometimes they'll say it's ok to run with something but not identify them by name, thus "sources." But the idea that they need to make stuff up constantly is just not true. They already have plenty to work with.
I dont think she makes things up but she misleads a lot with her headlines in attempt to sensationalize a story and get more viewers for her advertisers which is just as bad as making crap up IMO. But it is what it is, I have come to expect it of her and just accept it.

per the press conference today, the police are limited in what they can discuss because of the sensitive nature? what does "sensitive nature" mean? is it possible they know more? maybe they are watching somebody, maybe it was a kidnapping, maybe she was taken to Mexico? maybe they want the "abductor" to believe they are clueless when in reality they are working w/Mexican officials to get Isabel home safely? wishful thinking, but this just seems odd to me....

If you are familiar w/the Caylee case, I will never forget the BOMBSHELL "big bottle of chloroform found next Caylee's body" when in fact it turned out to be a bottle with trace amounts of chloroform. I agree, it is what it is, take it with a grain of salt, etc. But, have to say I just love when she gets hostile towards people I don't like.... I turned off HLN months ago and feel more at peace, lol!

It could mean anything, from "we don't know" to "we know who it is and will make our move but can't compromise the prosecution of this perp by releasing evidence to the public" to "she is in Mexico" to "she is in Kenya". It means that as much as we all WANT to know, the gritty details just aren't our business right now. If Isabel is found safe or worst case scenario, we will know, if there is an arrest, we will know.

Did this happen three miles away or ten? I thought it was three, JVM keeps saying ten.

Again with the cadaver dog...

  • #390
It happened 10 miles from Isabel's.

Those fields are lit up like daylight during games.. so, photos or videos could be taken. fwiw

Speaking of dogs, I hope they bring the special FBI dogs from Isa's search, over to the house where the three girls were attacked. See if they sniff anything similar.

Look at this satellite image map of the neighborhood where the three little girls were attacked. There's maybe a dozen houses out in a rural area! How would the perp know these little girls were there unless he lives right there. No way he wandered in from the desert and happened upon them

11100 E Mountain Gate Pl Tucson, AZ 85749 - Google Maps

I wonder if there are any Tucson Academy students living there. Or ball players? Something that could connect Isa to the little girls.

This is exactly why I don't feel the two cases are related. Sadly, I think all the press coverage of Isabel's case probably "inspired" another weirdo - Someone who lives in that area maybe and saw the girls coming and going from the house. Isabel's neighborhood is a high-traffic area.People have to pass by her house to go other places, on foot and on the public bus. There is a major mall right down the street, ya know, and movie theaters, etc.

I actually wait for a bus right in front of BJ's on Broadway and Craycroft every afternoon. Today, all of the MISSING fliers on the bus stop were torn down. There were 3 up on Friday when I last took the bus. I looked in the garbage can, which was full, and the fliers were in there!! :(

So, I walked into the Office Max parking lot to see if the command center was still there, and it is. Not all the police, but there is a tent set up with maybe 2-3 volunteers, taking tips I guess and handing out pictures of Isabel.

There is a big banner across the front on the house with Isabel's picture on it.

There were two manned TPD vehicles parked in the shade alongside the Office Max - an SUV and a car.

Oh and the 'trailer' thing from the...now irrelevant security video... is not there now.

Since I've walked through that area now, I'm pretty confident we would have been able to see some police presence if that video really was from Saturday night. I wish someone could contact a Tucson journalist and ask if the media and police were in that area at that time. I don't even know if the story was on local 10 PM news that night...I wasn't watching. Also since being there, that 6th person is even creepier because that wall is just high enough to duck and hide behind and low enough to easily climb over.

It's def. a busy place. As I walked between the buildings and out to the alley that runs between the parking lot and the neighborhood (right beside the Celis house), a worker from 5 Guys kind of popped out from the dumpster area. That little alley empties right into the area behind 5 Guys/Party City where they have some dumpsters. On the other side of the alley is the strip mall where the camera store is and lots of other stores and lots of activity. The alley goes all the way through to Broadway, so that you can actually turn in there from Broadway. The house is very easily accessible to many people in my opinion.

She had a headline the other day about this case "Girl felt comfortable to go with them (men)". Which was a play on what the nieghbor girl said but not even remotely what the neighbor girl really meant.

People need to start putting up the black privacy film on their windows if there are people peeking in their windows.

I have 18 feet in length of windows, that are 4 feet high in my Florida room and 9 feet of windows in my bedroom also 4 feet high, all along my driveway side of my house and I have black privacy film on my windows with roll-up blinds. No one can see inside at night or during the day.

Per LE on NG: the man walked into the bedroom.

  • #397
Per LE on NG: The man left the bedroom for the second time.

Captain on NG states that at 1:48 am dispatcher got a call that there was a man in the home. The intruder was inside the girls' bedroom, molested one of the girls, and then he walked out. Then the intruder came back into the bedroom and engaged in conversation with one of the girls. After his second entrance into the bedroom, the little girl went and told her mom.

(Sorry, but this too hinky to me.)

NG is now asking how the one little girl was able to get such a detailed composite pic of the supposed intruder in the dark. One child was able to give the precise details according to the Captain.

Per LE on NG: The doors may have been unlocked.

Me: It sounds like it might be the norm to leave the doors unlocked. WTH!!!
