Dana Ireland was killed in 1991, CC would have been nine years old at the time. So it figures he could not have been "the perp." But guess what?

Last night I got around to watching the retired judge's video, and I read up on the case. The Youtube video (at the link provided) is informative. The judge's theory is probably unnecessarily specific and is up for critique - but he also presents a lot of factual information (i.e. supported by documents and interviews). There is also a lot of info available via the Honolulu Star-Bulletin archives (reading about what happened to Dana Ireland is not exceptionally pleasant).

Here's a summary of what I feel is relevant, and think is accurate:

- She was riding a bike, was hit by a car (tire tracks suggest it was intentional), moved to a different location, raped, assaulted, and left to die (not necessarily in that exact order).

- Three men were convicted - one confessed, implicated the other two, and then recanted but was still found guilty. The man who confessed was in jail for a separate crime and may have had a hit out on him (and was eventually killed in jail). They were allegedly under the influence of drugs at the time.

- There is some evidence that does or did seem to potentially link one suspect's vehicle to the accident. There was a bloody shirt that was linked to one suspect at trial.

- There was semen found at the 'second crime scene' (where she was left to die I believe), and it did not belong to any of the men convicted.

- In 2015 the bloody shirt mentioned above was retested and was found to contain DNA which matched the unknown male linked to the semen found at the crime scene.

- There were three eyewitnesses (one man and one couple) who, at the approximate time time of Dana's disappearance/accident, saw an older Datsun pickup truck where she had been hit by a car. They all saw a man and they saw him place what appeared to possibly be a human body into the bed of the truck. He was not wearing a shirt (indicating that he had possibly taken off his shirt). They all also reported seeing a boy with him, who walked around the truck and entered the passenger side. I think they estimated that he was about 10 years old (I'm not sure why that article specifies 9). The boy had dark-ish skin and straight dark hair.

- Dana's bike and one of her shoes were found at the location where this truck had been spotted.

So, is it possible, if we are going to continue with the creep factor---is it possible that Isabel's killer was in Hawaii as a young boy. And his father, uncle, stepfather, weird neighbor, took him for a drive and they assaulted this woman on her bike?

And this is what started this killer on his sick and twisted life journey?

9/15/18: Made 1st appearance on 9/15/18. Was extradited from Maricopa County to Tucson where he is in jail for criminal charges for burglary, theft & fraud. Arraignment hearing on 9/24.

I find it so alarming. If true it seems he was stalking the very father of the child he had murdered. I not only find that appalling but bizarre. It makes me feel he was stalking this family before and after. He seems to like to document things. They may find more and more as they continue to investigate.

The Celis and Gonzalez family has to be so relieved he is locked up now. What a creep.

He sounds as dumb as Mollie Tibbets' defendant. Both of them lead police to the bodies.

His defense of I didn't do it will sink like a concrete block. I guess he forgets Isa's possessions were found buried in the yard where he lived with his girlfriend.

I recall a newer surveillance video from that night showing a figure walk in the area around 3am and then a second figure entered the screen shortly after. I cannot find it right now, so for now IMO. I will look for it though.

I do believe this serial pedophile acted alone. Rarely do pedophiles team up. They want the little victims for themselves.

I don't think there will be any evidence he had help.

For all we know the men heard talking had nothing to do with this and I doubt they did.

CC is like so many before him who also invaded homes and abducted children solely on their own. Imo

I remember that but do not remember any video taken around 3am that would show someone in the alley directly right behind the wall where their home sits. Wasn't only one bootprint found on an electrical box outside where he could have stepped on it in order to get over the wall surrounding the back of her home?

I could be mistaken but I thought the voices heard in the alley was later than 3am...maybe around 6 or later? I know some of us discussed that it could have been garbage collectors picking up the trash in the alley.

Didn't the scent dogs follow a scent about a block or two away from her home to another alley? I always felt he had his vehicle parked where it wouldnt be noticed. I think that is why the scent ended. He had put her in his vehicle by then.

It's hard to recall everything that may be very relevant now and disregarded back then since the actual suspect has been arrested now.

Yes, I remember that video, but the video I read about recently came out about two years ago maybe. I’m on my phone or I would try to find it. I don’t even recall the source, so it’s more of me mentioning what I recall reading and maybe someone else heard the same. Let me go see real quick.

I think once the trial happens we will learn a lot more why TPD.. was consistently adamant Isabel had been abducted. They never backed off of that one inch.

So they have to have much more evidence they did not divulge at the time.

All of that collected evidence back then will become very important now. Didn't they find a fingerprint on the window or window screen?

Imo they will now go back over everything collected with a fine tooth comb and imo it will tie CC even more than him disclosing her location and the possession evidence found buried in his yard.
