• April 20, 2012: 11 p.m., Isabel Mercedes Celis went to bed in her bedroom.

• April 21, 2012: Around 8 a.m., family members call 911 after they discover Isabel is not in the house.

• April 22, 2012: FBI search dogs arrive from Virginia to aid in the search.

• April 23, 2012: Celis family and 88-CRIME post $6,000 reward.

“Court records indicate that Clements has been committing crimes since at least the age of 16, when in 1998, he sexually penetrated a victim with a foreign object while in Oregon. In 2002, he received a felony assault charge in King’s County, Washington. During the same year he was arrested and charged with identity theft. In 2006, he was charged with felony theft and making harassing calls.

Later in 2006, Clements was arrested twice in Florida for failing to register as a sex offender. In 2007, he moved to Tucson where he once again faced charges for failing to register as a sex offender.”

N4T Investigators: Man indicted in connection to murder of Isabel Celis, Maribel Gonzales

TUCSON – A man was indicted Friday in connection to the murders of two young girls – Isabel Celis and Maribel Gonzales.

According to officials, Tucson detectives drove to Phoenix to read 36-year-old Christopher Clements his charges of Friday afternoon in connection to the two murders. Police say he is currently in custody and locked up in Maricopa County in connection to an unrelated burglary and fraud case.

According to the indictment, Clements was charged with two counts of first-degree murder, two counts kidnapping a minor under 15, two counts of second-degree burglary, one count of theft by controlling stolen property, one count of trafficking in stolen property and 14 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.

Officials say Clements was found guilty of failing to register as a sex offender in the state of Florida. That same year, the 36-year-old was charged with violating a protective order against stalking and telephonic harassment in Oregon.

Clements was then charged for providing false information to law enforcement in 2007. In this case, Clements reportedly gave a false name and date of birth to a Tucson Police Department officer two times. [....].

When I was looking at the indictment I tried matching up dates, thinking the same thing you are. I don't think so, but I'm not positive. There were just sooooooo many.
