How sad is it that we have to depend on a 10-year-old girl's statements for information while her mom and stepdad dance around the truth in order to keep themselves out of trouble.
A mother who said " but I have never ever been, never ever able not to provide for my daughter" and a stepdad who couldn't remember if her name was Isabella or Isabel. They foisted the responsibility for helping the search team look for Bella onto a ten-year-old child! And left poor Bella in the hands of a convicted criminal so they could go out.
Shaking my head isn't enough; I'm shaking my fist at them. What could possibly be more important than your beloved child?
This is getting weirder and weirder. I know there were some contradictory statements in msm that Bella's sister reported that she heard yelling while LE said she told them she didn't hear anything.
I hate to broach the subject but is it possible the sister is trying to protect her mom and stepdad?
The sister also told the Daily News that Rector later texted messages to the family indicating that he had Grogan-Cannella and asking what they were going to do about it.
Buying snacks for the kids.....why does her saying that make me furious? :maddening:
Thank you! I know we cannot reference them unless they were qualified in MSM.
So why hasn't there been any charges of obstruction of justice against the immediate family? Perhaps they did tell LE about the texts but if so, it doesn't jive with the further statements from the family in MSM. Why hasn't the mother addressed this?
I'm sitting here, sorting out the cast of characters and I believe that the Grandmother at the house is RF's mother. I got this from the 911 call.
So you had her with you at Walmart and then she disappeared?
No, no, no, no She stayed at home with her sister and her mom getting ready for bed. Her sister and my mom getting ready for bed and when we got back she was already gone
Three Grandma's have been mentioned: Toni Page who is Tania Grogan's Mom. The one who spoke on NG, and in local media against her daughter. Freddie Nicholson who is Ralphy Folster's Mom. The Grandma where they were living. Sue Winchester...not sure who she's related to.
Every time I hear "I would die for my kid" I want to scream, BUT WOULD YOU LIVE FOR THEM???? It was eitehr Dr. Phil, or Dr. Drew that made that statement and explain it on an episode a long time ago. Lots of truth in that if you think about it.
Are you willing to LIVE the life your child needs? Are you willing to LIVE for you child by not taking risky lifestyle choices? Dying could be easy. Living is harder. LIVE FOR YOURSELF! Be willing to LIVE for your kid!!!
just going to get snacks for the kids at Walmart
"Grogan says she left Isabella and her older sister upstairs with Folster's mother. She claims she did not even know Rector, a family friend, was in the home. Court records, however, state Grogan's two children were downstairs with Rector and three other friends. Grogan says she called police after searching for Isabella for more than 40 minutes. "

Hopefully a local can help me with this question:
In the 911 call, the step-dad mentions 'the river access' - In fact, makes a point of mentioning it while claiming he doesn't know where she could be.
Is this river access close to where the body was found?
Thanks a bunch for the great rundown. Hopefully, others may find it helpful as well and really appreciate you helping me catch up with the story.
So I understand that the stepdad didn't tell 911 about JJR being there. Do you think it's because he may not have known? Or hadn't put 2 and 2 together? Maybe he thought he was sleeping, or had left at a different time or something? I know it may sound like a stretch, but (taking away the allegations of drugs, etc...) if you trusted someone, that ok, he's a druggie and all, but that doesn't necessarily mean you would immediately suspect him of kidnapping and killing your daughter. Does that make sense?
Are you saying that they spoke with police and never mentioned JJR? Did he maybe show up after they had left for WalMart and was gone before they left, so they never put 2 and 2 together? Maybe the 10 year old never even mentioned JJR until pressed by police?
I guess I am just trying to figure out what these people would have to gain from lying about JJRs presence, if they indeed knew about it AND had made the connection?
Bellas grandparents had custody of her for about nine months, ending earlier this year. During that time, she and her sister, Kaylee, celebrated Christmas with the Pages.
He also said Child Protective Services is also involved in the case, but did not provide specifics.
Snacks for the kids late at night?!?! Why didn't just he go?? He can't make important decisions like brand of chips or flavor of ice cream??? I can't ... Ugh :silenced:
And her story to news person doesn't match court records ... So which is it??? Or boyfriend's 911 call .. Remember he said kids were downstairs in living room right???
ETA or am I wrong in assuming living room is downstairs?
Bella's grandma that night: "I was here when it happened…I was sleeping…I should have been awake…I shouldn’t have went to sleep."
Quite sure that's an MSM reporting mistake and NOT a change in story based on having watched it play out on twitter and in articles as comments were coming out and then things being clarified when the presser happened.
We had a highly publicized triple murder here in San Diego and with a preliminary hearing and a ton of warrants being unsealed media is contradicting things, even in print, left and right in their rush to get things out.
How this played out yesterday here with Isabella is similar. (You can see if you simply go back and read the thread during even just the time news was really breaking yesterday during the probably 3-ish hour window as the biggest things were happening)
I'd say the odds of the sister trying to cover would be about as high as the odds that the person in jail for Isabella's murder actually being uninvolved.
As in about 0% possibility.
