MOD NOTE: Beside the family members named in MSM, the extended family is OFF LIMITS. Strictly. And most especially children.

I just have to say priorities play a major role here. I got pregnant and had my first son when I was 20 years old. I was a "partier" and have no problem admitting that BUT once I decided to bring my precious son into this world I took that seriously, and changed my life completely. I guess that is why I find it so hard to understand WHY any parent would choose to put a child in danger because they are selfish, I guess that is why I have such a hard time understanding cases like this. My oldest is now 25 and his brother is 18 and I thank the powers that be for being so blessed just about everyday. Prayers for you little Bella, you fly with the angels now.

Take this...

:pillowfight2:

Awfully hard job being right or wrong. More power to you all who have to watch over us. we bad...

This is getting weirder and weirder. I know there were some contradictory statements in msm that Bella's sister reported that she heard yelling while LE said she told them she didn't hear anything.

I hate to broach the subject but is it possible the sister is trying to protect her mom and stepdad?

The sister also told the Daily News that Rector later texted messages to the family indicating that he had Grogan-Cannella and asking what they were going to do about it.

I hate to say this but it is possible the reason she was removed was to circumvent witness tampering......((based on what you said))) MOO

I'm pretty sure her environment was taken into consideration before they removed Bella's sister. Maybe in about 30 minutes time... It was describe as bad in some MSM accounts. Bad smell and all.

eta, gosh my heart breaks for Bella's sister pretty bad.
The videos of her I've watched are just tearing to witness. May God be with her and always watch over her.

And speaking of twitchy msm reports, I remember reading somewhere during the first or second day that the sister notified her grandmother that Bella and JR were gone before she called her mom.

It makes sense that grandma went upstairs to bed, leaving Bella and her sister with JR but at this point I don't trust statements from anyone in that house. Were they watching a DVD or were they playing hide and seek? Did the adults search for 40 minutes or an hour and a half?

So confusing...

Since various questions about why mom hadn't addressed certain things had been raised, this brings up one I still am surprised not to have seen been asked - or really even mentioned in MSM.

And that being why in the world the girls were up at 11 something pm AND that the Walmart trip was supposedly to go get snacks FOR the girls.

They were 8 and 10.

Despite it being a holiday, they had school in the morning.

"We were going to Walmart just to go get snacks for the kids," recalled Grogan.

But they were going to get them snacks at 11 pm AND they weren't even just doing a 'quick run to the store to grab snacks and come home real quick' type thing...it was a 90 minute-ish trip to Walmart.

AND the "snack run" only ended when it did because of the 10 year old calling and alerting them to Isabella being gone!

"We came back because (my older daughter) called and said she couldn't find (Isabella). (She said) that Justin and (Isabella) were gone," said Grogan.

How does a "snack run" take that long when the store is only a mile away?

(Obviously it doesn't and it was a cover story for something else or just a flat out lie regarding the time table. If anything, it seems the late night snack run was probably not only a cover for something else, but snacks 'needed' for people with munchies thanks to drugs and such.)

Why has no one (media wise) asked the almost more basic questions?

Like who thinks their elementary age kids should a) up and watching movies, etc. at that hour on a school night? b) needing snacks around midnight? c) actually needing snacks sometime closer to 1 am (given they were gone for so long AND only came home as 'early' as they didn't because of the phone call? d) should be left home with a male they can't even agree on how well he's known, etc. and a (reportedly) sleeping 'grandmother'?

I agree with Dr. Know? that removing the sister was decided early on. At the same time, given that she was the one who gave police the most accurate information, LE might well be relieved she's with a neutral party. Kids tend to be protective of their parents, regardless of their circumstances and I could see a child agreeing to a story if they thought it would prevent them from being taken away (again).

I'm sure that may have been a benefit .... I hope !!! Surely leaving your children with a drug addicted varmint self proclaimed To be Satan wasn't enough .?

from quoted link

"Grogan said Rector had been close with the family for years, even watching the girls several times in the past.

"I trusted him with my life. My children are my life, and now one of them is gone and they want to take the other one from me," Grogan said.

Grogan said Rector never showed signs of aggression until recently. She said his ex-girlfriend recently filed police reports accusing him of strangling her pets. '"

"Something triggered in his head, and he just got off on strangling, I guess. He strangled my daughter to death. That's how she died," Grogan said.

I don't think I'd be leaving a pet strangler with my kids -- I'm a bit picky I guess.

academy award nominee -- this is interview #4 (remember she was advised not to talk to media)

I'm so sick after the most recent interview . Really ? JR's ex told her he like to strangle pets .... Yet .... She still INVITED ( her words) into her home where there were little kids ?

Okay, this is when it gets really difficult to keep on my mod hat.

"'Something triggered in his head, and he just got off on strangling, I guess. He strangled my daughter to death. That's how she died," Grogan said."

She knew he strangled pets and still allowed this person under the same roof with her children?? Even in the presence of adults, I wouldn't let a person like that lay eyes on my child.

And while my mod hat is off for a moment I'm going to say one more thing. I've read FB, too, and my heart bleeds in a big way for the surviving child. A chunk of that darling kid's life was destroyed that night, also.

Enough said. Mod hat goes back on.

Reading the whole interview is really disturbing - how much of a reality break has this woman experienced. Doesn't make sense to me at all - very unsettling.

Thank you both! This is becoming a Tale of Two Tania's. Cue music.

She has been directly quoted as saying Bella's sister told her that Bella and JR was missing and now she's claiming she didn't know he was in the house.

She stated she hardly knew him (through family) and had only invited him to a bbq but now he's a close family friend for years.

And here's the icing on the cake: She trusted him with her life but he was into strangling pets.

Too bad she trusted him with Bella's life. There is something seriously wrong with this woman!

Tania is in denial . I believe her grief is genuine . However, her self preservation supersedes that and it's painfully obvious .

Thank you, thank you drsleuth!

"We came back because (my older daughter) called and said she couldn't find (Isabella). (She said) that Justin and (Isabella) were gone," said Grogan.

Tania's a liar. :liar:
